I hate to tell ya, but the Ravens are on Fox not CBS.........Please don't jump off a building. I would feel so bad. :o

I meant more from a "high powered rifle" perspective. I'd never hurt myself...

Yeah, wishful thinking. I guess I'll be tuning in via nfl.com. I watched the Colts game Thursday online and it wasn't awful.

Wait - update........I see the updated link and now WTTG in DC will carry the game. I'm unloading the rifle now.

The game might be even later than 4:15 since the Bears are stuck in Chicago. The airports are all closed down.

wow, i thought the away team usually arrives the friday before the game. that sucks. what will they do for tv? thats a major conflict with MNF.

I love all the whiners talking about how the Ravens dont wanna play in the snow. If it stops snowing when they say it will, the snow will be cleared long before 1pm. Its more about people getting to the game. We dont exactly have the most efficient snow-removal system. :34853_shakehead:

According to the Bears website, they never made it to town last night. With the snow arriving earlier than expected, their flight from O'Hare was cancelled. According to the website they will try to fly in late Saturday.

What a mess!!

There won't be a flake of snow on the playing field by 4:15 on Sunday. The Ravens and Bears will just be playing on a cold windy day in Baltimore. The field will be just fine.

Yeah, we're already discussing it in the "moved to 4:15" thread. I don't know how they are going to fly in any time today - I thought the airports were already closed until tomorrow.

They will probably fly in after midnight. The storm is supposed to start tapering off after 11 or so. They may have the runways cleared off enough for them to land.

I was a bit surprised they didn't try to come in last night. I just expected that they would have. Hopefully they'll be able to get here the early hours of Sunday. Doesn't sound like they'll be getting a good nights rest....

They should have come Friday afternoon, before the snow started....
They were supposed to land in Baltimore last night before midnight but their flight was delayed for almost two hours while the team sat in the plane. Since the snow started earlier than expected, they weren't able to fly in.

I still think they'll make it in by game time but if not, it looks like a MNF game for us. Even though it really wouldn't be the "real" MNF.

Either way, this game will be played this week.

Just a question but how long can the NFL really drag out a postponement? After Monday night football it is basically Week 16.

hopefully the game happens tomorrow and doesn't get pushed to monday. a short week leading up to the most important game of the season would not be good.

Technically I guess the NFL could force the Bears to forfeit, as they failed to be prepared for a storm that had been forcasted to be significant since Thursday evening. They won't do that though, NO WAY IN THE WORLD, due to AFC playoff implications.

Now, the question becomes..... are they trying to contact their media partners to find out if there is any way to move this to Sunday night or Monday. I'm guessing the networks have to agree to broadcast a second game at the same time as their "exclusive game". I think there was a time when there was a game moved either to Monday night because some emergency (not 9-11, those games were rescheduled for January), but I forget when it was.

My guess, we are looking at a Sunday night game.

It's also about clearing the snow and making the stairways in each section safe to use. Could be major lawsuits if someone got hurt due to poor snow removal procedures.

With our running game, I'd looooove to play in the snow
Chicago is first in the league in forcing fumbles, aren't they? Our running back has fumbled in back to back games... I'm not going to get too excited about the prospect of a running only game. I'd rather see the Bears try to pass; that's always good for a laugh.

If only they hadn't moved the game... we might have had an automatic win.

One more important point. The Eagles and Jets have home games tomorrow. They are also going to get rocked by this storm. Granted, their opponents probably flew in last night. Imagine the chaos if the NFL decides to move three games?

I'm sure the Bears will arrive in time. Since we're not starting until 4:15, they could fly in Sunday morning after the snow stops. It's only an hour flight.

Oh how quickly we all forget.

Just two years ago, our game against the Houston Texans got moved to Monday night.

I mean, I'm sure the Bears plane would get priority over any regular passenger plane. But you can't clear the snow that is still falling. It's not really a matter of snow removal, but a matter of waiting until the snow stops falling so you can remove it all.

we didnt play the texans in 07. You must be thinking of last year when they moved the game to monday and then postponed it altogether, thus we lost our bye week.
