Looks like we have a couple inches already but I can't tell if it's actually snowing right now...might be a lull but it's hard to tell. I really ought to go outside and rescue the snow shovels before the shed gets snowed in (cause someone is going to have to dig out the snowblower...)

I'm in the 12+ area. My dad said if it's 24 inches or more we won't be able to go tomorrow because Baltimore is always like paralyzed when it comes to snows. I hope we can go, or move it to a monday night, how awesome would that be.

I really don't want the game to move again and I really doubt the NFL will do that anyway. I'm sick of hearing the whiny Ravens fans as it is.

Let's just hope the snow crews can get the stuff moved and get the stadium dug out.

KUDOS to the snow teams EVERYWHERE. Praying they stay warm and safe while they're working on our behalf!!!!

Snow's coming down pretty hard here. Started at, like, 4am and it's still going. They weren't kidding when they said it's a blizzard, you can see the winds swirling and everything. The forecast for my area was updated to 12-20 inches now.

Just measured in a pure area w/ no snow obstruction. We are at 13" in Gaithersburg, MD with the hardest snow coming in the next 3 hours.

On Thursday I said this storm could hit blizzard status sure enough it did.

I went out driving for fun the last couple of hours. I love my big heavy Dodge Durango. It was so much fun driving.

I bought Cement mixer tubs for sleds and they worked great because they are so deep. You just have to build a path down the hill, then those things flew.

Worst idea of the day was snow surfing in my tub. I fell and messed up my elbow pretty bad. I never thought you could bleed after falling in the snow.

With the wind and the drifts, I can't find any spot in our yard that isn't affected so our snowfall is anywhere from 8" to 2.5'. Our neighbor's rain gauge is full so we're over a foot in Bowie.

granted, people in bmore overreact to the threat of snow, but I think this time it was justified. Judging by the fact that our street took 3 days to get plowed when we had 5" or so a couple years back, I dont see us getting out of here till late monday or early tuesday.

One advantage to living on a snow emergency route is our street is already clear. My husband and daughter were both able to get to work today with only a few issues.

Not that any of you need mothering but please be safe.

we are lucky. all the adjacent street have yet to be plwed, but theres a guy on our street who owns a landscaping truck witha plow and he plowed our whole street. Even helped some people parked on the street get their cars out.

I think they did a pretty amazing job at the stadium and around it--of course we are still pretty deep--I measured 28 inches at the height of the storm but we were under a pretty heavy snow band for a bit.

Well everyone, we survived! :) I actually found a place in my yard that didn't suffer drift travel and Dork PA got a foot. Whee.

Just be careful in your out-and-abouts today. I have to drop a friend off at BWI this morning!

It took me almost 48 hours to get my car out. I live in Baltimore City and my street is a snow emergency route- so I can't park in my assigned area during snow storms (we have permit parking). This being my FIRST real snow in the city I didn't realize how mad the rush would be for side street parking. I was one of the last cars to move before the storm and ended up parking close to a half mile from my house.

On Sunday I went to go move my car back and I couldn't... Baltimore City doesn't plow small side street. My entire neighborhood was plowed in the side streets and we had to call 301 about 100 times on Monday to have someone get us all out. Was absolutely ridiculous.
