Question For You Ravens Season Ticket Holders?

8 posts in this topic

Will you be renewing your season tickets only if the Ravens make the playoffs or regardless? Ive talked with quite a few fans who are giving their seats up if the Ravens dont make the postseason.

They are not true fans!!! I will keep my seats until the day I'm dead. I will never part with them.

I only know of one Ravens PSL owner who is selling - and in that case it's for an upgrade to clubs.

After the past disastrous seasons of 2005 and 2007, I don't think that there was an abnormal sell-off. There's still a large PSL waiting list, which only moves by a small number each season. Don't be surprised to see some former Redskins fans, who have quit on that team's ownership, try to enter the mix, increasing demand.

I know a few people who threaten to do it anytime the team loses but I've only ever known one couple who actually sold theirs. Neither would sell to the other during a divorce and they had to sell them to a third party.

I'm on the fence on whether or not I'll keep my seat licenses. I only go to half the home games how it is and the games I don't go to I give the tickets to my family or sell them on craigslist. I've been considering selling and only buying tickets to games I want to go to.

It isn't that I'm not a fan, just lately I've found it more enjoyable to watch it at home then go to the game.

I'd hold onto them.... their value will only increase with the emergence and growth of Flacco, Rice and Oher. If/when we win our next Super Bowl, the value skyrockets. Don't be too quick to sell.

Exactly. I'd think of it as more of an investment, especially if you're not able to attend every single game but have a PSL and season tickets.

Also, given the advancements in technology today and how people prefer creature comforts over the atmosphere of the stadium, sometimes staying at home is better than being at the stadium, especially in bad weather. In some ways, buying a PSL and maintaining control over the seat by selling tickets only to fellow Ravens fans is an indirect way of making a huge difference on gameday, especially for rivalry games.

Regardless of your preference for viewing a game, holding onto a PSL and treating it like an investment is a smart way to go, rather than just letting the PSL and tickets remain dormant. The only way I could see of letting go of a PSL is for financial reasons, but if it's within your means, I'd maintain it as long as possible, irrespective of the team's performance. The NFL as a whole is a hot ticket for a reason and even the worst markets can still bring in revenue.

Let's see, this poster has two posts, both about ticket sales. One asks if we ever sell out games and this one insinuates that fans will drop their tickets if we don't make the playoffs.

Since we've sold out every game for years and no one drops their tickets over a bad season, I smell a troll.
