Xbox 360 Frustration

9 posts in this topic

So, this past week at my cousin's party, I had brought my madden 10 over so we could have a 2v2 game.

Well, two hours in his sister comes walking through and barely, and i mean barely, touches the xbox, which is 'standing?' and out of nowhere you hear this roar, and an error message.

I pulled out my game and right in the middle of the disc is this HUGE scratch, and now I've practically lost 60 dollars..

IDK if there is anyway to get this fixed? or do i have to completely buy a new game?

I know gamestop offers you a warranty for laser burns (be sure to keep the receipt IN THE BOX of the game lol) but that doesn't help you now... you could probably look it up on google... and if you can't find one and you're thinking you're going to get a new one anyway.. you could try turtle wax... worked wonders for me on the PS2 games when my family was lazy and didn't put games back in the case

note* on the turtle wax, I used the paste kind not the spray kind (idk if they make a spray one, but figured I'd mention that)

Burn to hard drive it worked for me

you can attempt to install the entire game to the hard drive. The disc came off its spindle. Its best to lay down the 360 flat as 85% of the air is draw from the bottom grill. I know, I modify and work on these daily. I have also found non granulated tooth paste to work well in buffing out a scratch.

I recommended installing every game to your Xbox 360 hard drive as it takes alot of load off the dvd drive as it never spins while playing, and will make it last longer, and it will also be quite.
