The Greatest Offseason Moves We Should Do

34 posts in this topic

if mason retires or not i think we should trade a 1st or 2nd rd pick to the cheifs for dawanye bowe and then use the pick we didnt trade and get a corner that is a first rd talent but probably get chosen in the second like oklahoma state corner perrish cox

Bowe always seems to have a problem. I don't think the Ravens should go after him at all.

x2....don't like the idea AT ALL!!

I wouldn't give up anything more than a 2nd for Bowe, if he is even stiill on the block.

In the 1st, we need to take the best DL or WR available.

If we're to avoid a repeat of this next year, we are going to need to
also make a couple moves in free agency. We need to sign an e
stablished WR if we dont trade for one, regardle
ss of who we draft. We also need to add a veteran DL and LB as well.

Just want to throw this out here to the stupid nature of this topic. I am an avid ravens fan and always have been. that being said i am from KC and my number two team is KC. Dwayne Bowe would be NOTHING but a disaster for the boys in purple and black. I agree we need to get a big time reciever to help our offense but also dont forget that the ravens dont trade away first round picks thats where we have gotten our best players at. Somehow we always get good picks and usually avoid drafting big busts. Realisticly i think we would be better off trying to get say brandon marshall or eddie royal from the broncos or hell even try heyward-bay from the raiders, but bottom line Bowe drops almsot every easy catch that is thrown to him he is not good not at all

Yeah I know he isnt as good as a lot of people think, which is why personally I think a 2nd is the most he's worth.
But he's better than what we have now, so I can see why people want him badly. Heck, I'd like to see Bowe here too, at the right price.

I highly doubt Ozzie goes after Bowe. And as for Cox, unless he embarrasses himself at the Senior Bowl, he'll likely secure a late first round to early second draft selection.

This has nothing to do with where the Ravens pick. Cox could easily raise his draft stock to a late first round pick or fall to second round.

Regardless, the Ravens aren't going to go after Bowe. It doesn't make sense.

i completely agree i kinda got off topic earlier but if we could get him FOR THE RIGHT PRICE id be all for it. but if for some ungodly reason we gave up a first round pick for him we would be insane. but agreed he is better than what we have... sadly

I just don't see Bowe as a good option. He's talented but look at all the problems he's had this season alone. He showed up to training camp overweight, was threatened to be traded by his head coach in the middle of a game because of drops and has been suspended for four games because he took an illegal substance.

Aren't Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson UFA at the end of the year? If we could somewhow lure one of those two here for long term we would be set for O pretty much. Bottom line we need a talented WR to grow and develop with Flacco. We already have the RB, FB and the Oline to develop with him.

It's highly unlikely the Broncos and Chargers would let their best players go.

Dunta Robinson is a FA as well.
[/quote]

If you though Foxworth was overpaid, Robinson will command a ton on the open market.

If they are UFA and hit the market they have the oppurtunity to go wherever they want, as long as offers are coming in and I don't think that will be a problem with either of these two.

Yes, but don't think you the Chargers and Broncos would do everything they can to keep them? Both are entering their primes.

If Mason retires, I'd rather get a vet WR or at least someone who would be good enough to groom our young Receiver(s) from the draft. Maybe Bryant from Tampa Bay or Avant from Philly. Bowe would be a horrible role model for our draft pick.

Bryant would be a great get but I really like Avant too. He's good size, hands and has a knack for making big catches. I really hope the Eagles let him go and the Ravens get him.

I don't see why the Eagle would fight too hard to keep him. They are already stacked at that position. Avant would be a great #2, and would be a great option when the #1 WR gets double teamed.

I could definitely see the Eagles letting Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis go has emerged as a great slot receiver. I wouldn't be surprised if they re-signed him.

personally my opnion on this is try and sign vincent jackson antonio bryant or i believe brandon marshall who are all free agents this off season, then use the 1st round pick to draft another wr and if their is a big name corner in free agency sing him but if not draft a tall fast cb
