Gametime Weather

26 posts in this topic

Just took a look at the weather for Baltimore on Sunday, and they're predicting 42F with a 90 percent chance of rain or snow. How could this affect our chances at a win on Sunday? I know that we play okay in cooler weather, but how does Detroit play when the weather gets cold and rainy?

I just bring this up because last week I was talking with someone who picked the Redskins to pull an upset because the Saints are used to practicing and playing in warmer weather, and lo and behold, they came very close to losing.

That looks to be about 10 degrees north of snow.

Pulled up the details, they said snow until about 11 AM, then switching to rain *gag*

Well, Detroit is a dome team. So, that could work in our favor. I think we can run on them and I dont think they will be able to run on us.

I am also expecting a really big game from Ray Rice. He should have a little extra motivation for this one. Detroit called him during the draft and told him they were going to draft him when they were on the clock but obviously they passed. I am expecting Mr. Rice to show them a little of what they missed out on.

The Weather Channel now has us at a 60% chance of just rain starting early in the morning. At 42 degrees, it's going to feel downright balmy after Green Bay.

All it will be is rain.

I think it is advantage us, if the weather is poor. Because the only player that could kill us tommorrow is Calvin Johnson. If the weather is poor, it will help to ebb him.

Yippee. Don't forget we are on Fox tomorrow and next Sunday.

Which means half of Maryland won't get the game. Because Redskins is Fox territory.

WHo cares about the team, how about me. I'm going to be freezing up there.

Layers...lots of layers and a good waterproof jacket. You lose heat about 20 times faster when you are wet. Staying dry is key.

I hadn't heard about that; that's interesting. Since hindsight is 20/20, I'll bet he's glad that things worked out the way they did.

That history combined with his less than stellar performance last week, will probably be good motivation for him.

Ugh, Fox never shows Ravens games in NOVA. I'm going to miss two in a row. >.<

I hope it's raining. If it is I should get the call from my grandmother at about 11am. She doesn't like going in bad weather, LOL.
