Anyone else relieved the Browns defense came together AFTER we already beat them twice? phewwww...but really awesome game for the Browns and their fanbase. 8 sacks of Roethlisberger!

Good Job Browns - Does this increase the Raven's chances for playoffs?
[/quote]nope, we still have to win out...the browns just exposed the steelers. Problem is, I don't think our DBs can cover as well as I saw the browns cover. Also, I think something is wrongbwith ben. He was not making good decisions, not getting the ball out quick enough.

Honestly, the game against us in Cleveland was the other game that their D stepped up. If they had ANY type of offense against us they may have actually scored some points.

There's nothing wrong with that, lol.

On a more serious note: I really hope that we are just seeing a Super Bowl slump, proof that Ben R. really is an over rated Trent Dilfer type who rode his defense, or something like that. It would be tragic if we are witnessing the effects of the multiple concussions that he has suffered.

I was thinking the same thing, there's something wrong with him, he looks lost and confused. I dislike the Steelers very very much, but I hope he's ok.

A lot of people don't realize that overall our defense has played well and kept us in a lot of games this year. The problem has been that our offense has been so abysmal that our defense is gassed by the 3rd/4th quarter from being on the field so much.

Our offense wasn't exactly stellar tonight but they did what they needed to do. Quinn's numbers were not great but he IS getting better. Also as much as I really really hate to admit this because I NEVER want to wish harm on anyone.. Lewis getting hurt and being out for the year was the best thing for him and our offense. Jennings and Harrison NEVER saw the field for some odd reason due to Lewis and Mangini's inability to take him OFF the field. These two young RBs are now getting playing time and I absolutely love Jennings.

I was thinking about the concussion effectvas well. Thatbwoupd be sad, but u know that's just the way he plays and he can't help it. Even tonight he dove head first towards two defenders at the end of a scramble.

Is that really true? I've been too focused on the Browns offense (and Josh Cribbs :) ) to really notice. I had a bunch of stats on how their offense was nearly an all time low in NFL history.

If the defense has been basically good, why did the Lions decimate them?

Cribbs and the o-line were the offense tonight, tremendous blocking and protection. I don't think Quinn was sacked once.

Hard to say why honestly but as with any team games like that happen. That game however did turn into a shootout and at the end we had a chance to win.

It's not always about numbers though.. we have some terrible games stats-wise but we've been in close games as well:

Week 1 -- Hung with Minnesota and was winning midway through the 3rd quarter.

Week 4 -- Lost to the Bengals in OT.

Week 5 -- Played Buffalo tough and gave up 3 points.

Week 6 -- Hung with the Steelers midway through the 3rd quarter and lost at the end. Result of no offense.

Those are some of the examples but the basic point is that we've been in a lot of games and gotten gassed at the end and been blown out. We hung with Cincinnati and San Diego and won tonight all because we've shown a shred of offense and while it's still been below average it's been BETTER.

Well that puts them out of the playoffs. Now all we need to do is win out and hope for 2 Jags losses (Indy and the Patriots). Don't blow this guys.

I hope the rest of the league watches this film... Big Jen is not Big Jen, and that O-line is a sieve. I thought ours was bad. Wow.

I think I need lessons. It's been a long time since I've been able to have "bragging rights" except to Buffalo fans (won the last 3 games against them in 3 years)... and well, I don't know any Buffalo fans.

The Steelers are falling apart right now. Look for them not to bring back injured players like now that they are our of the race. Hell, they may even just accept its a year to get a good draft pick.

The hardest game we have left is steelers on the road, its looking a lot easier.
