One of our players was mentioned as one of the worst Offseason moves. I was under the impression that his lack of production was unnoticed around the league. Any thoughts?

The signing of Foxworth doesn't look good right but let's look at why. Had Samari Rolle been healthy, Foxworth would've been the #2 corner at best. I doubt he would be getting toasted as much as he has this season. Still, it's good to know that in the same off-season, the team brought in Kelley Washington whose production no one saw coming.

When a dominant defense takes a nosedive, everyone notices. I remember some talking heads saying that they thought he was overpaid before the season even started so I'm not surprised that they're saying "I told you so."

Good point, Ferrarifan. The fact that the Foxworth signing was a personnel decision made by the Wizard of Oz makes it even more noteworthy.

Lol, I just watched the video and I like how they showed Fox getting an interception, making a tackle (we know how rare of an occurence that is), and forcing a fumble as proof that signing him was a bad offseason move.

Foxworth was overpaid because of the lack of top FA on the market and the contract Asomugha got which inflated the market. Look at the contracts guys like DeAngelo Hall, Bryant McFadden, Jabari Greer and Andre Goodman got.

I think the secondary misses Rolle a ton, and he could have helped Foxworth on the field. Foxworth is average, but to a team that had C-Mac in his prime, makes him look even worse.

It was Foxworth,it was pointed how the Ravens needed a shut down corner and Foxworth isn't getting it done, even to the point that other teams were targeting him. They showed the big buck,4 year deal he inked with us,then said,"remember, this was a guy Denver traded to Atlanta for a 7th round pick."Ouch!

Ya I never understood his signing especially how much he got paid. I thought forsure they would have gone the veteran route with Washington on the other side, giving Rolle the nickel if healthy, hoping Webb would work out and then take another corner in the first couple rounds in this draft.

It was a bad acquisition. But i wouldent mind seeing him stick around cut Walker or Carr i think foxworth could be effective in the right role on the team.

I disagree we signed Foxworth to be a #1 CB. At at least compete with Fabian Washington for the #1, but Samari Rolle was supposed to be a nickel or back up in case there was an injury. We signed Dom to a long term deal paying his about $7 million per year. That is #1 CB kind of money!

I do agree that Kelley Washington is a stud. It's sad to think that Cinci and New England had such good WRs that a physical and talented WR like Kelley couldn't even get time on the field and here in Baltimore he doesn't get enough time on the field with the performance we are getting out of our #1 and #2 WRs. I think a Mason and Washington duo would be much better than a Mason/Clayton duo. Clayton might be more suited for the slot (I know. That's an old worn out statement, but still seems to be true.)

I think Foxworth needs to be more physical and to get a new pair of cleats. He falls down a lot. He's still young and is learning a new system. I hope he improves a lot next season because like it or not he'll be in Baltimore for a long time.

If I could only pick one,I'd have to give Frank the ticket out. He's run over everyone he's covered and never seems to realize that sometimes you just have to look back for the ball.He seems lost out there.

Hopefully he pans out,we'll blame his first year on learning the system(even though he had ALL of off-season to do that.)

I noticed that too. Why didn't they show him getting beat if it was such a bad acquisition?

I know im gonna take heat on this but o think that foxworth has played alright not bad not good but ok in his first year. He seems to have trouble with bigger receivers but he's not bad. I'd like to see him next year bulk up a bit but other than that right now he's about a solid c.

No Surprise. Worst total offseason moves by a team, we'd have to be a top of the list.

Foxworth, Carr. Plus we needed a receiver and didn't go after one.

I wonder if anybody owns a Foxworth jersey in Baltimore.

I don't agree with Foxworth being a bad acquisition. Yes the Ravens payed him waaaaay too much money, but I think he's a great player that just lost confidence, but he'll have a great season next year.

I've seen at least one guy with a Foxworth jersey....

Other terrible off-season moves include: cutting Matt Stover and choosing Hauschka as the kicker, not to mention neglecting our mediocre WR corp.

Yeah we didn't draft one wideout. We did however draft a TE that we cut, a K that we cut and a LB thats sitting on the IR. Whats crazier to think about is that Pierre Garcon is a 6th Rd Pick.

Ozzie ignored the WR Corps and we are keeping the same 1 and 2 on the field when 3 and 4 could perform so much better in my humble opinion....

Actually, Foxworth was signed to be a starting corner. Rolle was resigned purely as a 5&6 DB. Whatever Oz and crew saw, they thought he could be the guy. They weren't looking at Foxworth to be anything but the "other" corner. In fact, their expectations were that he would be their #1 corner. It's hard to understand how they could have missed on this one. The problem now is the Ravens are stuck with him and their only alternative is to try and get him some good coaching to help him get better.

Well, as inconsistent as he's been, I would still get rid of Walker and Carr ahead of him. In actuality, I was rooting for Foxworth because of his Warrick Dunn like presence when it comes to helping out the community. Just isnt much of a story book ending at this point.

I personally think Foxworth signed to be the #1 corner of the future. But even if Ozzie and Co. expected him to take that job this year, Samari is clearly the better corner and would've outplayed him if he was healthy.

Foxworth isn't horrible, hes average. He can become good if we can have a better pass rush. But still isn't worth all that money.

It's rare. You barely see foxworth in a foxworth jersey.
