Looks Like Flacco And Demetrius Williams Have Some Chemistry

33 posts in this topic

Maybe Joe has been pulling for him to get some P.T. , because when Williams finally got into a game Joe looked his way immediately for a pass and went to him several times, including that jugghead endzone pass. HE dint get one catch, but appearantly Joe feels very confident throwing him the ball

I don't know know if you can say they have chemistry because one of one game. However, if nothing else, Demetrius showed he can consistently stretch the filed which none of the receivers on the team have shown they can do.

I'm tired of seeing the receivers disappear against good corner. Williams needs to see the field.

I think demetrius can step up and play the same or better than Clayton as long as his history of injuries stays away. I do think flacco took some shots and i like how demetrius tried to get open on the flacco int.

I mean in practice, they must have had some chemistry prior to the GB game, cause Joe went to him right away when he got in the game.
For some reason he seemed to be another player in Harbaugh's doghouse

That's true.

I don't why he was in the doghouse but now's the time to get him out. The Lions may have the worst secondary in the league and this team(specifically the offense) needs to get in a rhythm before the Steelers game if they want to make the play-offs.

I would say there is potential for chemistry. Contrary to popular belief Willaims has gotten his share of playing time this season and still only has 1 catch. Its tough to come off the bench and get right into the rhythm of the game so thats why I say there is potential.

He should start against Detroit if Clayton is hurt. We will see then.

Chemistry ? Maybe but Williams dropped 2 very catchable balls that would have gotten us TD's....

I thought I heard Clayton is having hamstring issues.

They need to start using the other receivers more, whereabouts the season is already nearing the end.

At the same time they do live one game at a time. They also need to look in the future for next season too. I mean there is no guarantee Mason will be back next year. Clayton has not shown that he can step up and take his spot. I do think Williams could step in and do some damage in our receiving core, "if" he can stay healthy. He is defiantly our deep threat. We have seen Miles Austin nearly take the #1 spot in Dallas this year, and who would've ever guessed that would happen? You don't know what you have on the bench, unless you start playing them.

Even if the Ravens drafted a WR in the 1st or 2nd round this year, it is unlikely that he will take the #1 spot right away.

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of D-will on the field come Sunday as the Lions are the worst rated pass defense. The coaches will want to see if he can keep it rolling and get open on deep routes.

If by chemistry you mean draying flags on a flag heavy night. Than sure. But I didn't see many completed passes between the two that made me go Wow!

It was nice to see D-Will stretch the field.

I don't know if ubcalp that chemistry or passing by default. Both times he drew the pi calls, dwill was the deepest receiver and the only one single covered so joe was basically just taking shots. Early in the season and last year he had good chemistry with mason, now he doesn't seem to have any chemistry whatsoever with anyone.

lol. aren´t u a little hard about that? i am looking forward to the lions game. i like them a lot and i like to see our d against one of the best receivers in this league. i was very upset at the beginning of this week, but now all my hopes are back. i agree that drafting a wr is absolutely necessary. but i am always a friend of workin with the stuff u allready have. i hope d-will gets on the field because i like him very much. and there are other guys who should get a shot next year too i think...

He must have some huge guns now from rolling around in wheelchairs over the last few years, but he still wouldn't hold a candle to Dan Cody's 24 inch CANNONS.

Dan Cody is still recovering from knee reconstruction after tearing his ACL turning over in his sleep, and multiple fractures from a vicious fight with a box of kittens.

williams had a good corner on him?cam probably told joe to throw the ball to him because he was covered by a #3 and the flags were flying like confetti on newyears. i didnt see any more seperation than any of our other recievers. ill watch again to make sure...

I never said Williams was being covered by someone good. All I'm saying is that twice he got behind his man and Joe would've hit for two TDs had he not been held.

i think the ravens need to rotate WRs so we can see washington and williams play more, because every time washington plays he make plays , williams makes our offense explosive.

Sometimes I want to get people who talk about how easy it is to catch a ball under duress to take fire from a revved up jugs machine while people hit them with nerf bats...

i think hes made a case for some more playing time

I sure hope so, I know every time I saw him on the field I would think to myself 'Common Flacco show everyone how good Williams can be, pass it to him'.

Hes already matched Claytons 2 catch per game production. Might as well give him some more snaps to see if it progresses or stays the same.

You got that all from two catches against Detroit? It's entirely too early to say they have chemistry. Even then, there's so many more factors in Williams than chemistry with Joe. His consistency versus Clayton's, and his health are two major areas that need addressed. I, for one, and not so sure I want to test those out when we're on the outside looking in regarding the post season. Next year maybe.
