New BaltimoreRavens Jeresy colors?

Do you think we should have any other jeresy colors besides the Purple , Black and white? How about gold and black to represent the city of Baltimore and Lord Baltimore or white and red? Lord Calvert. The colors off of the Maryland flag and the Ravens shield. Good idea or bad idea?

I think it would be a great idea. Sounds cool to me. Ray Lewis in a red jersey. or Gold and Black. *shivers* gives me goosebumps. It'd be great, and if they do decide to do it, I'm gonna try my hardest to get them all.

Bad idea....I'm happy with the home purple, away white, and alternate black.

If you start adding a bunch of other colors in their...even though some folks from MD might know what it means...others will be totally in the dark and think it's stupid.

Besides, the purple comes from the Poe poem 'The Raven', the part where it talks about the "rustling of the purple curtains".

Agree with Crowdog - don't mess with the Ravens purple! I hate it when teams change uniforms in a major way - to build an image and tradition you need to stick with what is established as a team identity.

Besides - those other hilljacks in our division already play in gold (yellow), and I'd rather not look like them, thanks.

Yeah , When I made this thread , I was thinking about that earlyer. The yellow (or gold) and black. All though they are the Pittsburgh Stealers color. Don't forget they're the Maryland flag colors too and Lord Baltimore colors. Hmm , What's more important? A state flag colors or a sucky team colors?

I say keep the jersey's all the same, but it would be a little neat to see a white helmet with the away jerseys. Keep the same logo and style and all, just change all the black to white. I don't know, maybe once a year.

The Seahawks tried to do something similar a few years ago. Blue helmets at home, silver helmets away...or maybe it was the other way around. In any case, NFL rules don't allow it. The helmet has to be the same whether you're at home or on the road.

Purple and black match the team mascot - the Raven. In addition, the Ravens' market area (established by the NFL) extends all the way into Pennsylvania from Harrisburg to east of Lancaster. Most teams have fans outside their home state, and the Ravens are no exception. Everyone knows they play in Maryland already, so I don't see why they should drape themselves in the state flag. The colors they use right now look great!

We're the ravens that meens a certin colorset. I'd like to see the blacks become the home and the purp as the alternate. Those boys sure look good in those midnight blacks. Maby they could incorperate the coat of arms in a bigger better way on the uniforme, seeing how its another way maryland seperates its self from all the other states by being the only state using a traditional european coat of arms style for our colors.

Black and Gold... uh... nice thought....... THATS SQUEELERS COLORS! I happen to like our uniforms just fine... and LOVE when they don the ALL BLACK! To me it looks more like "a Raven"

Don't mess with the colors, but I'd like to see improvements to the uniforms. Reduce the oversized helmet logo. Add some stripes to the all-black (so they are no longer confused with pajamas). I'd like to see an all-purple - just once. Otherwise, keep the colors & uniforms as is. Please do not follow the trend of changing uniforms to go from attractive to ugly: e.g. Buccaneers, Patriots, Seahawks, Cardinals, Broncos.

I'm not saying this as a homer but the Ravens have one of the coolest unis in the league. All our teams had cool unis - the Colts, Stars and especially the Stallions. The Ravens unis are menancing, especially the all black ones. The Colts unis which I always adored and still can't look at are classy but Ravens are tougher.

The only change needed is to get rid of that stupid cartoonish bird on the helmet. Reminds me of those stupid looking Orioles hat of the 70s and 80s. O's did right thing and went back to their original black hat with original oriole which is cool.

I'd rather see the shield that's on the sleeve of the jersey on the side of the helmet. One media guy said the logo in the middle of the field is the best looking on in the NFL.

Just my humble freaking opinion.

BTW, my next Ravens jersey will have my name on it. The old 52 is about worn out and Ray's gonna retire some day.

Of all the Raven logos I think it's the most meanacing.

The Shield is just pure power.

The black looks like HighSchool and needs something........bad.

I'd like to go back to the black pants with both purple and white jerseys like it was back in the day. In Madden, they actually give you this option in alternate uniforms. The purple and black just looks darker and fits our PROFILE. The white on white looks to bright and nothing like our teams logo or persona.
