Pass Interference Penality's

2 posts in this topic

What is everyones thoughts on pass interference.

It seems like around the league the defense backs are helpless trying to defend the pass. They can't touch the reciever without being flagged. All the receiver has to do is jump up and down, the ref digs in his pocket and throws the flag. This just isn't happening to the Ravens, but all around the league, and even more for certain teams.

The NFL has been trying to get more scoring for years and they have finally done just that. The defense is at such a disadvantage.

Should the change the penalty to 10-15 yards instead of spot of foul?
To throw the ball 60 yards down field and have it spotted there, is this fair?

Will be interesting to hear everyones thoughts

While there have been a lot of ticky-tacky PI calls, a lot of corners simply don't play with good technique. Not everyone is going to be a shut-down corner but corners like Asomugha, Revis and Woodson are lauded so much because they are among the few corners who actually play the position the way you're supposed to.

Look at Frank Walker. He doesn't go into his backpedal, is often peaking into the backfield and once a receiver tries to blow by him, he grabs and holds onto him.
