Detroit should really consider that. He's not a Lions caliber player; they could have Chris Carr, Domique Foxworth, and an undrafted free agent of their choice. Sounds a plan, right?

Well I guess it wouldn't feel any worst than our loss to the winless Dolphins a couple of years ago.... I really don't see it happening though. We are good enough to beat the bottom feeders of the NFL.

It would be a huge let down but then again I don't think we deserve to make the playoffs the way we are playing. I hate to say it but right now all I want if we miss the playoffs is to take Pittsburg down with us. After last season it would kill me to lose to them in a few weeks and have that win knock us out and put them in the playoffs.

I would be happy.

1. we would get a better draft pick.
2. it will take down the egos on the team that think we are a playoff contender.
3. Harbaugh's ability as a head coach would be tested.
4. Changes would be made. I guarantee it.

Good point. I believe Billick losing to Miami was the "nail in the coffin" for his coaching tenure at Baltimore.

I keep flip flopping on this subject. On one hand I agree with all your points why losing would be good. But I can't see how continuing our up then down roller coaster type seasons would be a good thing. If we finish below .500 this year our problem with being great than bad than great would becomes as much a problem as Dallas in December. It would get in our guy's heads.
