Definition Of Insantity

15 posts in this topic

Definition of insanity is basically-

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Albert Einstein

This to me sum up this years ravens game plan, we have 4 more games and let's see if we keep on pace to insanity.
examples:
Joe to Rce
Joe to Mason
Joe to clayton

Need to mix it up alittle
Joe to TE- and not just one or two times in 12 games and expect te to make playes finally after not catching pass in 11 weeks

Joe to KW- not just on 3rd downs
Joe to Tyree- why not??
joe to LJ Smith why not??
Something has to change if not it's insanity.

Harbaugh won't change, he doesn't believe in holding people accountable, he'll just say we can take away some good things from this game and do the same thing next week.

Hes throwing to the weapons that are on the field. Rice, Mason and Clayton take almost all of the snaps on offense during the game. Tyree is not playing on offense and LJ smith has not been healthy ALL season. He was not even active yesterday. They need to bench Clayton for Williams and try that out.

well how's that working out for us this is what i mean we need to change alittle or the smae results will happen over and over again. Active tyree, get Lj out there if healthy, we have another TE also rookie put him in the mix at least a decor something. As it stand other teams have our # they know clayton and mason have limitations and don't streth the field enough and that if you stop rice joe is forced to throw and we all saw how that went lastnight. so try the unexpected or at least tweek things alittle. Where is troy smith why isn't he used we did that in the early games let's try it again i remember joe catching a long pass from smith it was a game changer this is the type of calls I'm talking about. The eagles use Vick acouple times i think each game so we need to use troy

That line of crap has got my blood boiling. Tomlin may not have gotten the results he wanted with the whole "we're gonna bring hell" thing, but I liked that a lot better than harbaugh's lame excuses.

As far as the suggestions to shake up the lineup, I still think it's more of a playcalling problem than a personel problem. look, the packers sent 5+ nearly the entire gameand blanketed all our receivers in man-to-man for the 2-3 seconds they needed to get to flacco. Did u see one bubble screen, one pick play out route, one hb middle screen, or how bout the play they Murdered us on...a 5yd slant. Not one play likebthat the whole game. Joe was just throwing bombs that never had a chance behind defenders, and was lucky to get pi.

I agree 98%. Even though I don't think the coaches are paying attention to what is working and not working during the game, the players still need to make plays. It doesn't seem like anyone is winning one-on-one.. at any position.

I agree with that as well, but no one is getting help by being told to run routes thatbarent fooling anyone. GB has the #1 defense for a reason. I think the bad play calling trickling down to the point that it's causing a lack of motivation...

I agree with that, and if I might add bad play calling shows lack of imagination!

If Flacco does pass to any of these it will end up out of bounds, since they are usually not on the field.

LOL, true so true But maybe just maybe I mean KW has proven to me that he needs more chances and not just on 3rd downs. To me it's kinda like Webb all of us on this forum was calling for Webb weeks before he was put into position that's working out pretty good. so Kw needs to be at least 2nd and than let's see.

That, and they probably cant jump high enough to catch them when Joe sails it over their head ;)

I know that is so frustrating. Even if our reciever does manage to catch it, like that one to Mason, there is virtually no chance for yards after the catch.

Someone check the roster for the Delaware Blue Hens for 2007. Were all their receivers 6'8"? :dancingbanana:

Monday was the first time in several weeks that LJ Smith wasnt active. And chances are it had more to do with Reed being hurt and us needing an extra ST player or S, behind Zibby.

Even still I have never seen an offensive team go to its bench less than this Ravens team does. Even Billick's offenses mixed the 2nd TE, 3rd or 4th wr, and 2nd and 3rd rb in to the game plan on a regular basis. With most offenses you'll see some 2nd stringers in the game at least half the time, just to mix it up. Our offense uses the same couple of guys. There is no rotation, nothing to just mix it up a little bit, just the same guys on the field every play.
