Yup, 10 - 6 might get a wild card, but we'll need to win out to do that. With the remaining games of Detroit, Chicago, Pitt, and Oakland, it's a possibility.

I agree, plus we have to go to the west coast, that's always a difficult task to fly cross country and play a game.

What makes me angry is how this team has failed to take hold of it's own destiny two out of the last three weeks.

Still, the good news is that the team is STILL alive.

assuming Jax loses their games to Indy and NE, if we win our last four we're in the playoffs.

however, the way we have played this season, beating Pit and Chi is far from a certainty. Fortunately for us, those two teams have been just as inconsistent as we have been, so they are very winnable games.

I feel better knowing that Jacksonville is occupying that second spot. With that being the case - anything is possible.

i think we should win against the lions, handily. the bears, handily. pitt, we could probably squeeze out a win if we ACTUALLY PLAY WITH URGENCY. oakland is gonna smoke the ravens if we overlook them, they are solid

The reason for the faint heartbeat is because our playoff hopes are on life support with an ice cube chance in hell that we will wake up from our big sleep and win out. Odds are the plug needs to be pulled.

Technically if the jags only lose 2 more games, we can still lose to the lions and bears and still be in. :D because we'd own common games and have the same conference record.

The rest of the way we are new England fans..

Who to cheer for this week: new England, Miami, Indy, buccaneers, and of course, the ravens.

If all those teams win we'll be right where we were last week with the bears to play instead of the packers.

Also were in the same situation with the broncos as the jags so it doubles the odds of it actually happening.

I'm more hopeful that the BRONCOS lose at least two games out of their next 4: Colts, Eagles, Raiders, Chiefs. If they lose 2, and Ravens win out... then the Ravens beat them with the head to head tiebreaker. They play the Colts this week, and I think it's still too early for the Colts to be resting players. And the Eagles will be fighting for playoffs the rest of the season, so they'll be a tough matchup too.

Either way you slice it, the Ravens have to win their remaining games... otherwise it doesn't matter what the other teams do.

I look at our offense and I can easily see Pitt beating us. Twenty points ought to do it...

Oakland has always owned Cincy (10-0 in Oakland) and this is the second time in three (?) years that they've beaten Pittsbugh. They also lead the Steelers in the all time series.

It might not be a matter of them having the AFC North's number; maybe they are just good against certain teams. Against us they have won exactly one time.

The Broncos still have to face the Eagles & Colts, and then the Jaguars still have to face the Colts and Patriots...we are still in decent shape here. We just have to pull it together and win our games.

Squeak into the playoffs with the way we have been playing?
Why even??????
Why not? What have the Jaguars done or the Dolphins or the Texans? They don't deserve it more than we do.

It will be hard for an up and down team to win 4 straight, but anythings possible.
We won three in a row at the beginning so it can happen. Crazier things have happened!
I really believe that we can pull this off. Do I think we can go far in the playoffs or even win one game? Maybe not, but I think we can get there.

I agree.
I am just saying we are not even close to beating the upper echelon of teams in the AFC. Sure, we have gotten close several times...close.
And there has been nothing I have seen since the Broncos game (didn't even get to see it) that shows me we are even deserving of post-season.

Every week I keep saying, "Now if I see a performance like what I heard the Broncos game was like.", yet it never happens.
If anything we are taking steps backwards.
