So the finalists are Tebow, McCoy, Ingram, Suh, and Gerhart.

Right off the bat you can cross of Tebow. His numbers werent spectacular and he did NOTHING in the biggest game of the year. Next is Ingram, his number were alright but three of those TDs came in the final game. I dont think McCoy left a great impression against Nebraska.

If its a popularity contest McCoy wins handily. If you look at dominance at a position look no further than Gerhart and Suh. I could see a QB throwing for a million yards against bad teams in some spread offenses, but for a RB to consistently put up 120+yd and put a team on his back is amazing.
Suh is just a beast and I dont think there's any way you can say he doesnt deserve it as well. I feel soory for Nebraska they didnt beat Texas, bc they should have. The D was STELLAR and Suh was in every play.

I'm torn between Gerhart and Suh. Unfortunately I have a feeling that McCoy is going to get it. Not that he didn't have a great year, he just wasn't the impact player like the other two (especially Suh).

Heisman has became a joke, same thing with College Football. Seriously, give more $$$ to the BigTen(11 technically) and give em more tv rights even though that conference blows. At least college basketball has gotten more "respect".

Well, i think the Heisman is a popularity contest. If it wasnt we all know that Suh definitely deserves it, otherwise its going to either Tebow or McCoy...sadly.

It won't go to Tebow. The Football Heads will not forgive him for the Debacle Against Alabama. McCoy on the other hand, for all it was a not-so-hot game, is the One Second Darling.

Sound bite heaven.

Suh, unfortunately, has a name most cannot pronounce and let's face it, that Just Won't Do.

(forgive the gratutious use of caps, but that's how these good 'ole boys actually sound in my head)

I still dont get all these guys on ingram's jock either. "he runs against SEC defenses" blah, blah, blah. Does he not have an SEC line in front of him, and an SEC QB throwing behind him, and an SEC defense holding opposing offenses at Bay. Im pretty sure the playing field is just as level for Gerhart playing on a PAC-10 team, facing PAC-10 defenses, running behind a PAC-10 line, etc etc. Its a garbage argument. You've gotta put up HUGE numbers as a QB to impress me in college football, and its about more than TDs as far as running goes. Gerhart had more rushing yards AND Tds than the other hundreds of RBs in the FBS, he gets my vote.

My vote goes to Gerheart, he's an absolute monster, plus he's a white boy at the RB position, which I get a kick out of. I seriously doubt that Tebow will win again, as it has been said before, his numbers are lackluster and he drank a nice, tall glass of *choke* before the 'Bama game. Suh would be my second choice, then Engram.

Ingram won. *sigh* More SEC bias. Ingram is a very good player but he just didn't dominate like Suh.

I wonder if the BCS powers that be realize what a hole they're digging. People are fed up.

It's sad gerhart was the closest second place ever and he got a lot more first place votes than ingram. Same thing happened last year. Tebow had the most first place votes and still didn't win.

I have to believe that the Heisman trophy has turned into a popularity contest of sorts, mostly because you rarely see defensive players nominated for the trophy, plus the best players from smaller schools rarely receive nominations.

That's what I believe, my friends.

Funny how Suh wins AP Player of the Year, but not the Heisman.... aren't they essentially the same award?
