Jarret Johnson's Profile Raised

The worldwide leader's website has LB Jarret Johnson featured opposite Aaron Rodgers in the front-page splash previewing tonight's Monday Night Football matchup between the Ravens and Packers (image below), as well as a brief mention in a blog post by ESPN's James Walker, explaining the impact that the Ravens' pass rush needs to have against the Packers to neutralize Aaron Rodgers.

Seeing as how JJ leads the Ravens with six sacks, I'm glad that the national media is starting to pick up on his talent. He's been wholly underrated for the Ravens and has been the undeniable workhorse of this defense. His versatility allows other guys like Terrell Suggs and Ray Lewis to do their jobs, and I honestly believe that the defense would take a bigger blow if JJ were injured than if Ray Lewis were to go down. Though Ray is the emotional heart of the unit, JJ's production is undeniably solid in every way. As much as I support Suggs, it's hard to justify keeping JJ underpaid for much longer.

James Walker is probably one of the most insightful heads when it comes to the AFC North (mainly cause he does a blog for them.) Nevertheless, he knows what players are doing well and who isn't. He knows that our best pass rusher is JJ and to me, I think he will have a good game. Impactful? Don't know but it will be big.

He should definiately make the Pro Bowl. Try to name other OLB that are playing better then JJ?

Harrison and Dumervil. JJ is great, but that doesn't mean he is the best OLB in our conference.

Detroit needs the personnel. Our problem is our Defensive Coordinator has no imagination and can't dial up blitzes like Rex could.
