We have to wear the white jersey b/c Green Bay is the home team and they chose the Dark jersey (green) therefore we must wear white.

There have been so many posts about this but I'll continue to reply the same way. We might as well ditch the black jerseys with harbs. First he nixed the blackouts. Now he's got us down to wearing the black tops only once out of thetwo times we are allowed to wear them... Lame

I think it is Harbs and the NFL. It is getting harder and harder to find new Ravens NFL gear (sweatshirts, T-shirts, etc..) in anything but purple.

also the Jags ditched their alt black jersey this year.

Why would the NFL care? The saints regular home jersey is all black, jersey and pants. Eagles have worn theirs, falcons and panthers have them as well. Our black/whites are the sharpest jersey ever, to limit their use is just stupid. If I go to watch a game and their are 20 PPP with jerseys 6are purple, 2 are white, and 12 are black...

It's funny u mention the limited gear since the ravens are featured in the NFL ad about the new customizeable shirts.

I heard Harbs say something like 'Statically speaking teams that wear darker jerseys get penalized more'. Ummm..we get 9 penalties for about 90 yards a game anyway, so we me as well look good while we are doing it.

When did our primary color become white? White pants/purple shirt, white shirt/black pants or white shirt/white pants. I think we look NASTY in all black. They should be our main home jerseys. All those that don't agree should look up a picture of a Raven. They're black not purple. I know our primary team color is purple my point is that we have a right to wear all black as much as we want - it just makes sense. The only other team that should get rights to all black uni's is the Carolina Panthers, The Jags and Saints need to chill out lol. I also think purple top with black pants are appropriate. If it's the beginning of the season and still hot Purple and white pants are good too.

If wearing black gave the Ravens an advantage that they wouldn't otherwise have wearing white or purple, i'd worry about what color jersey they are wearing/

There are no advantages to wearing any color over the other. To say that it makes a difference is dumb. Play the game and don't worry about what u r wearing. It's for the fans. The ONLY time it would make a difference is in HOT weather or heavy snow.

That's bc we only wore them in high profile, tough, primetime or division games. Plus two of the losses were both times we wore them in 07 when we stunk, so that skews the record. When did the superstition from baseball creep into the NFL?

the black jerseys are by far the best looking.. but keep in mind it is just too logical to wear the best looking ones at allowed points during the season. (i know we can't tonight hence the "allowed points")
