I read that part; I just disagree with it.

And weather or not he,Harbs,Cam,Ozzie or anyone else admits it, he's been hurt for a few weeks now. Really it seems like he's been hurt since that Minnesota game. A foot or ankle injury can really wreak havoc on a QB's game because then you are dropping back slower, the inability to plant that foot like you normally would, and less mobility.

Give the guy some time! jeeze.

I think you are correct. Wasn't it the Minnesota game where the D lineman's cleats were caught up in Joe's shoe laces? Most likely got stuck there after he planted his 15 on Flacco's instep.

There might have been a situation where cleats and laces were tangled but I clearly remember two different Vikings stepping on Flacco's foot after he released the ball.

I just watched Kurt Wanrer throw and complete an amazing TD pass to a completely covered Boldin. Chris Collinsworth made a statement that great QB's complete throws to covered receivers; that's the difference between the top tier QB's. I have seen Manning do the same thing. I can't say that Flacco is there. He has a way to go before we see him doing those kind of things, but I got to say that I'm confident that he has what it takes to be one of those QB's. Now I feel like we have a QB that can make plays when we need it instead of breaking down like Boller used to.

the other side of it is you need the WR who is capable of catching the ball... or making the effort, or who is big enough to demand the extra coverage

I was thinking about that when I watched Boldin make that catch. Our receives hardly ever make contested catches.

Maybe Flacco knows his WRs wont jump up and catch the ball unless the pass is dead accurate. Players like Ryan, Manning, Brees, Brady, all have WRs who can make a spectacular catch over coverage. Ravens WRs rarely do that.

Mark Clayton will jump during those games that he shows up for. His catches are pretty there just aren't many of them. Now if there is a defender trying to bat the ball down it will be incomplete. We don't have guys that fight for it.

I kept telling people last year that Matt Ryan was garbage and was only good because his WRs kept making spectacular catches. Flacco most of the time has to throw a very accurate ball before it is brought it.

Heck if anyone watches Steeler games you would see the Steeler WRs bailing Ben out on a large number of ground balls.

Check for the tight end a little more and establish kelly early. More focus will go to him and teams won't be able to just lock down mason and clayton feeling that them and rice are the only receivers to prepare for. Successful teams find ways to get guys involved, help them earn their paychecks.

I think flacco has progressed this yr but i also see things that he really needs to work on. See the field better getting more players involved in the passing game not just Ray rice and Mason, to many check downs, not getting rid of the ball fast enough. In the last 4-5 games he seems to be playing some what scared or unsure who to go to and as we see ray Rice is our main reciever. so yes he's good but he needs to improve to be an elite QB.

I think coach Harbs needs to get more receivers in the game, receivers can't contribute standing on the sideline. If they aren't good enough to get more PT than they are,why are they on the team?Still,Joe has work to do to,good thing is you know he will.
"Mason is a possession receiver and Clayton is a 3 at best." What does that even mean?
It means what it says. No hidden fees...

ur right about that. with our 2 receiver set it´s very easy to cover them all. mason gets double coverage, clayton is able to get open 1 time in 6 games and then u have only the screen passes to rice, who has to do all the work for us. we really need 2 good receivers for the next season or bring in some from our team. i would love to see what a kid is able to do within a four reveiver set and an arm like flacco!!!

I agree with you somewhat, Not all teams have great WR the colts have alot of new guys, eagles also and dallas but the one thing they all have incommon is a QB that hit the long ball more times than not and to me there is the key. Yes Flacco is young and learning but he has to stop the dink and dunking stuff to get to Wr and that's on him I think he has grown way to commfy throwing to Ray Rice and as soon as he feels the heat it's off to Ray, i mean where is the TE work or are they always Blocking?? Joe is great yet he needs a few more yrs, few more games and i know he will lead us to victory.
