Seeing as how Kelly Washington only gets 1-2 passes thrown to him a game, when he is out there alomst every play, I dont see another reciever getting thrown too...

Mason, Rice, and Clayton are Joe's targets, I dont know how much that will change, being his short time in the NFL.

If any one needs more passes thrown to him, its Washington.

What ever happened to Demetrius Williams? Ozzie said he was set for a breakout performance this year and that he was the reason we didn't go after Boldin, Mashall, or even draft a single WR in the draft. He was Flacco's main target the entire Off-Season in Mason's absence. Harbs said we were going to sit DW in pre-season so he will be 100% for KC. When he was sat, Kelley Washington played so well they gave him DW's #3 spot. Then there was talk about how DW was going to sit because he wasn't goo on special teams. We got Special Teams Pro-Bowler David Tyree to fill the void (I thought) so DW could get a lot of time catching passes.

Harbs even said DW will get more playing time and he does. About 1-3 times he is used as a 6'2" 215 pound blocker for Ray Rice. How do you know if it's a run play? The Ravens puts in LJ Smith and/or DW. DW's last play of last season was a 70 yard TD that would be nice to see again this year considering he's said to be 100% healthy.

Well, I don't see Tyree getting on the offense any time soon, especially after Clayton's big game against Steelers, unless someone gets injured. It would be good to put him out there just to see what he can do, but air show has been lately to Rice, Mason & Clayton. The one that needs more balls thrown his way is Heap, 1 or 2 passes a game is not enough, especially in the red zone. Tyree just gonna have to wait his turn, just like Demetrius Williams.

Yep, this is what we've all been thinking for the last 2 years. It just doesn't make sense.

Ditto....Washington is pretty much an untapped resource IMHO. We need to get him more involved to see what gives. Maybe they still think he has 'the dropsitis'. I hope not!!

Like many are saying, I'd rather see Demetrius Williams before Tyree. Him and Flacco had some chemistry last year, but hes just never on the field.

We have Washington and Heap that need more balls thrown to them. Then we have D. Will which is like a "once in a blue moon" appearance with him. Let's worry about throwing it to those guys first. THEN we can worry about Tyree.

Not to mention Dwill is our 4th receiver and he gets on the field MAYBE twice per game with no chance of having a play called for him.

Maybe Flacco just isnt as good as we think. Look at Brees, he doesnt have any superstars...Although I think Colston could be one on a team that focused on one or two WRs. EVERYONE is fair game on that team, and i think thats what makes them the best. If they could find a way to spread the ball around and give mason 8-10 oportunities, clayton and washington 5-6 and 3 or 4 to tyree, Dwill, Heap, and LJ smith...Then we would be scary. Look at what the colts did to us. We focused on Clark so much that the other TE that hadnt had a catch all year looked like a stud.
Whats the matter, we dont trust flacco to throw to more than one receiver??? I mean 2, Ray rice is actually our #2 WR ;)

Tyree won't make a difference (no lucky miracle catches here) hell Washington should get more balls thrown in his direction and throw in D.Williams and lets see if we can spread the ball around more.

If tyree can't make a difference on special teams then he needs to be cut....,.

It's true. Washington and Heap need the ball more. Heap just isn't a solid blocking TE. He's more of a receiving threat at that position, so get him the ball. Washington had just one catch in the Colts game, but it was on third down. Same thing with the Steelers game. That's why he's more valuable than Tyree and D Will IMO.

So let's not worry about Tyree until Heap and Washington are more involved in the passing game.

You're right it doesn't make sense. Mason, Clayton, Kelley, DW, and Tyree are all in the final year of their contracts (that's the entire WR corp except Marcus Smith. Kinda scary). You would think Mark Clayton would want to earn a big contract with this team. One would also think a good rotation with DW or even Tyree would be beneficial just to see if these two can contribute especially if someone got injured. You can't progress a player if you never give them any opportunities.

Recently the Eagle's TE Brent Celek received a 6 year contract worth $33 million. You would think Clayton or Kelley would want to earn a large contract. You would think DW or Tyree would want to impress the coaches in practice, so they could actually get time on the field to earn this kind of money as well.

I think Kelley needs more looks. He's the man when it comes to getting crucial 1st downs. Clayton appears to be our deep threat, but he is incredibly inconsistent. He almost had better numbers in the Steeler game than in his past 5 games. I think he needs to split time with DW who might be an even better deep threat for Flacco and could possibly make all the catches Clayton has dropped.

From what I've seen, everytime D-Will gets in the game, coaches use his big body and strength to BLOCK for Rice. That really pisses me off. He steps on the field 2 times a game max, but never even gets to run a route.

Part of me wants D-Will to go to another team that will give him consistent time and watch him tear it up. Just so all of us guys (basically everyone) who have been pulling for Spiderman can say, "I told you so".

I don't think Kelley needs more looks, I'm satisfied with his handful of catches every game. The person I think we need back in the offense the most is Heap.

As for Clayton, I'm one of his big supporters. We know what he is, and we don't pay him anymore than what he's worth (unlike Foxworth). Hopefully the Steelers game has built his confidence. I feel as when he has a good game, he comes out with some swagger and has another good one.

david tyree is horrendous. Zero looks please. The guy that needs more looks is D-Will, The dude was great when healthy and he seems to be healthy. only game I remember seeing him was against the viks and he played well I thought.

I just want to see the ball to HEEEEEAP in the redzone. How easily could he pretend to block and run out on play action near the goal line? We underutilize him big time.

We all want to see Clayton, Washington, Demetrius, Tyree and anyone else get balls, but we also want to see all 3 guys (McClain, McGahee, Rice) get carries, and the only way to do that is dominate possession with long drives, which is easier said than done.
