Mike Tomlin had this to say about the remaining five games of the year, "We will unleash hell here in December because we have to. We won't go in a shell. We'll go into attack mode, because that's what's required."

Players on the Steelers are echoing his sentiment - that they must, and will, unleash hell and win out to make the playoffs. The Ravens just happen to be on the tracks for that freight train to H-E-double hockey sticks... The Ravens are also in '5-0' season mode - it's a five game playoff season in Baltimore as well. Are the Ravens ready to face them and win against the best they've got to offer?

Are the Ravens also ready, willing and currently in the right attack mode to 'unleash hell'?

Every team is going to unleash Hell in December. Just because a head coach says so at a news conference doesn't mean his players are all going to turn it up 150% like a Madden Cheat Code.

Who cares what Omar has to say? The Steelers aren't even the best team in the NFL. They have some great players but a lot of them are banged up. I doubt they'll be able to unleash much of anything with a concussed QB, an All-Pro safety with a gimpy knee and their best guard being injured too.

As for the Ravens, if everyone stays healthy and things start clicking again offensively, I believe the Ravens could go on a serious run. However, the boneheaded penalties have to stop.

What the hell are we in Sparta? I think the Steelers will have a different fire burning in them but same goes for all the other playoff contenders......hopefully us included

Actions are louder than words, until I see them "unleash hell" on everybody I wont believe it, especially since 4 out of the last 5 games are cake for them. If we both go 4-1 the rest of the way we still win out because we beat them first.

Maybe. No choice but to be prepared at this point, that's the obvious thing to say. But frankly, good for Tomlin. I want him pissed off. Who knows? We might luck out and he'll make a costly mistake later against us. Obviously, though, he'll have his guys ready to play and we'll be in store for another entertaining game.

what......who beat who first doesnt matter

these are the tie breakers

1.Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). if we beat you this is tied

2.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. if we beat you and browns this is tied

3.Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
right now its tied...but if you beat chicago you take the lead....but if we beat greenbay and you lose to them it would re-tie but who knows at this point

4.Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
we lost to cincy twice,KC,BAL,
you lost to cincy twice,INDY,PATS,and if we get to this point us

so you have a good shot at winning the third tie breaker but if it gets to the fourth we win

I hope they unleash a hell on us similar to that of the Kansas City game.

Seriously, we are better than the Steelers (barely). Our losses were close and to legitimate teams, KC is inexcusable.

I could care less if we didn't have to play them again, but we still have to go at Pittsburgh. Which will most likely have a healthy Big Ben and Troy.

Considering that this was a must win for the steelers , didn't they already release hell?? the Ravens just put hell back on a leash and dropped it off at the SPCA.

Exactly. Why now? Is it like "Well, we're 6-5, we've got everyone else right where we want them"? Once you lost to KC, shouldn't that have been the time?

I'll be like the Steelers fans last week on our 5-5 record

The Steelers are 6-5 and out of the wildcard slot by 2 spots, what are they playing for anyways?

First of all, he needs to be more worried about whether or not it's lupus.

Second, yeah I think we're ready. We know the Jaguars and Texans suck and aren't going to compete with us for the wild card, leaving pretty much just the Steelers. We've had guys like Lardarius Webb and Paul Kruger step up, and I think even Chris Carr is starting to get his act together. I feel good about our chances of getting into the playoffs.

I don't think we can beat the Colts though, so as far as actually getting to the Super Bowl? Probably not this year...but anything can happen.

I doubt it would come down to that, because if we lose to Green Bay and you guys, our record wouldn't be good enough, on the other hand if we beat green bay and lose to you, we have the tiebreaker. And finally, if we beat Green Bay and lose to you we once again win the tiebreaker. It just comes down to us winning games

No matter how it plays out, the last 4 Raven's vs steelers games have come down to end of game plays. Any of these games could have gone either way and this time around it went our way. as far as unleashing hell, that is the one and only way to the play-off's for both the RAVEN'S and steelers. So if you are not planing on unleashing hell, you can start planing where you are going to watch the play-off's cause you will not be there. It is time for the RAVEN's to unleash hell right now! :flamethrower: :melt:

I know what you're talking about and I had that same feeling when I saw the press conference. But really, do you think Ray Lewis and the rest of the team is scared of them? Me neither.

I swear idk what im gonna do if you guys beat us with a tiebreaker.

I like the tiebreaking rules, but damn, if it comes down to this and you guys edge us for a playoff spot......crap lol

But look, it's possible (if DEN collapses) that we can both get in.

And another thing, don't just assume you guys have the week 16 game against us locked up.

Yeah I'd like to see them do it against any top tier team in the NFl. This is just Mike Tomlins last resort of words. I'll be shocked if they go 4-1 even. I see them at 3-2 during their "Unleashing Of Hell"

Both the Ravens AND Steelers will face two teams with winning records the rest of the way (both will play Green Bay + each other again). They had better not be wearing their new "gasoline drawers" they got for x-mas, because when we meet on December 27th this Ravens team is now capable of bringing some HELL of their own too!

I know that Ben and Troy will be back, but in case you haven't noticed:

1. We "physically" beat them up in the Baltimore game.

2. Our defensive secondary is playing A LOT BETTER THAN IT HAS ALL YEAR.

3. Ladarius Webb has given our secondary some good cover skills AND added punch against the run.

4. Marshall Yanda has replaced Chester and the power running game is back to "PLAYING LIKE A RAVEN."
