Charlie Weis?

What would you guys think if he were to become our Offensive Coordinator?

I'd welcome with open arms, not really liking what Cam Cameron is doing with our offense right now, seems like he doesn't believe much in Flacco.

Opinions?

WHAT? 3 weeks ago people are saying Cam is relying too much on Flacco and wants to turn him into Peyton Manning. Now we get back to running the ball effectively and all of the sudden he doesnt trust him???

No. I don't think Weis is a "fit" organizationally and I think Joe wouldn't dig him much either. His ego is MEGA and would probably irk Harbs also. I really like Cam although I've certainly wondered what happened to that early season well-oiled machine we had on offense. :18_1_301:

Charloe Weis is most likely going to Cleveland. Whether they have Brady Quinn or they draft Jimmy Clausen, Weis will want to go somewhere with familarity with a QB. Quinn probably would like to have Weis as the coordinator because Weis will save his job. Now if they draft Clausen and trade Quinn(I think Quinn is being traded to Denver in the off-season) there is still the familarity with being in Weis' offensive system. I wouldn't doubt Cleveland will also draft Golden Tate in the second round to go with Clausen. Either way Weis is going to Cleveland.

Cam Cameron has shown many flashes. I think next year he and the whole offense will hit their stride. Theres no need for Weis at all.

Look I am not saying Jason Campbell is a great quarter back but look how many different OC he has had.We don't need our offense getting used to another OC the offense hasn't been all bad really and just cuz you call it doesn't mean it will pan outthe way you call the play

A definate no.Cam finally seemed to see that what worked last year would still work this year!I jumped up and down when LeRon Mclain powered his way forward with the football in tow!A jumbo package with Ngnata at FB?Man I loved it.If someone else wants him more power to 'em but unless Charlie runs a 4.4.-40 and can catch a Joe Flacco fastball he ain't the answer to nothing that would help the Ravens.

Good call,he's just another student of the "Hoodie" who fell flat on his face.Anywhere but Baltimore,Cam seemed to begin to get it.I know it was only one game but this is only year two with us.Ozzie will get him some better weapons to work with, but until then he has to make do with what he has.Key point you made ego!No room for that on our team!

I love Cam, therefore hate the idea... that's just me, though.

Cam has brought us the best Offense we've had in years! There's no way we'd get rid of him. Cam helped to mentor Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers. I think Flacco is in pretty good hands!

Crazy I made this thread, and now we're playing against a Charlie Weis offense next week.

And now most on this forum throws Cam under the bus while KC's offense was completely rejuvenated this year.

Now would you have taken Weis?

KC is only ranked 2 spots above our offense in points per game and that difference is only .6 . Plus they had a way softer schedule IMO as far as defenses go than we did. While I have not watched them play everything I've heard about them is they are primarily a running team. Sounds like it would have been much of the same with Weis.

KC doesnt have near as much talent on offense as we do IMO.

I like Flacco better than Cassel

Heap
Boldin
Mason
Housh
Rice

I'd bet Boldin especially would be used alot better under Weis.

All this talk about Boldin getting all the attention is why hes not open. Well, Dwayne Bowe is the only WR they ever throw it to in KC and he gets plenty of yards and catches a game.
