We just wanted to let all of our fans know that for the Monday Night Football game vs. the New England Patriots, the Ravens players will be sporting their all-black uniforms. If you're going to the game and own a black jersey, we encourage you to wear it to M&T Bank Stadium as we try to black out the undefeated Pats!

Thanks in advance for your undying support!

hopfully we will be able to contain Brady and that passing attack some what and force them into playing our game and not the other way around. plus our offense MUST capitalize on the opportunities that are given to us as well as take our shots down field....but in me saying that...i also add taking "Smart" shots down the field, and not just Throwing it up there for anyone to grab.

The black is going to make it harder for the Pats' cameras to see our defensive dignals.

Nice alliteration, but what are dignals?

Patriot fan here.

I think that the Raven's black uniforms are the best in the NFL.

The Patriots ground game may be stuffed this week, but you guys are giving up a lot of points.

Adalius deserves a warm welcome, he's a fantasic athlete. He's been very solid and occasionally brilliant this year.

He's now the youngest starting Patriot LB.

word! on the Compliement about our black jerseys! hehe :)

i still believe that IF we can contain Brady and apply the necessary amount of pressure and force him into playing our type of game and not us playing his type of game....then we could have a pretty good shot...as long as our offense and our players are working on all cylinders and able to pick up the necessary yardage to keep our offense on the field and Brady on the sideline..eventually (hopefully) scoring Touchdown's and not just field goals.

Though normally I'd be fired up early for a game like this, I'll keep my thoughts and comments mostly to myself until the day of the game.

Meanwhile, I'm happy for Adalius Thomas and the success he's found this season, even though his stats have been down. I still wish HIM the best of luck for the rest of his career, and I'll be happy to see him back in Baltimore on Monday.

Not if he has a James Harrison night on us, like the last MNF.

Ravens NFL #1 Red Zone defense against Patriots NFL #32 Red Zone offense.

That's because when Brady throws a 42 yard touchdown pass, the Pats never get in the Redzone!!! They score from the 50!

I'm hoping this wind keeps up (even though it will be miserable at the game) because I'm hoping that will contain Brady a bit as well. Maybe we can turn this into a grind out run game, which I think is the only way we have a shot....

I really hope McAlister plays... Randy Moss will have like 8 touchdowns if he doesn't... Look how bad our pass defense did last week... the only consistency we have this season is turning the ball over and blowing coverages...

While I still believe we have a chance to win and love my team till death, I am still realistic and therefore I dont see us winning this game...

We just need a good start... most of our losses are because we start off terrible and fall into a hole and we all know we arent a come from behind team... If we can score on our first drive which never ever happens, then I think we have a shot. If we go 3 and out on the first drive then it's over... Hopefully Billick throws the conservative nonsense out the window and takes some chances because it hasnt been working lately and will certainly not help tonight!

What our chances of winning? Do yo think we can win?

Chances are slim. But there's still a chance, period, and that's all ANY team in the NFL ever needs as the underdog.

Everyone (fellow Ravens fans included) act as if there is NO possibility whatsoever of pulling off the upset. People with that attitude consider themselves realists. And that's fine and all, and against a team like the Patriots, I will not question your loyalty for having no faith in the Ravens whatsoever.

But if we don't have faith, who WILL?

It's easy to be a fan when your favorite team's winning, and in Patriots' fans cases, when your favorite team is winning BIG.

But if you want to call me a dreamer for having even an ounce of faith in the Ravens, then so be it.

I still love this team, and I have to believe that they have a shot of WINNING. Not just keeping it close, but WINNING.

Let's face it, the Patriots have the best shot of any team in the past few years of running the table undefeated in the regular season. But let's be honest, the Patriots are hurting. If they don't lose this week, they may lose to the Steelers this Sunday by virtue of the physicality this game will offer.

There is no such thing as impossible in the NFL. No team is unbeatable. Not even the perfect Dolphins of the 1970's, who lost games eventually. Shoot, look at how the mighty has fallen, as the Dolphins are now the laughingstock of the NFL, seemingly destined to go 0-16. And it's only inevitable that the Patriots dynasty will come to an end and they'll trade places with the Dolphins -- that's just the way the cycle goes.

I'm not saying that the Ravens will be responsible for bringing a gradual end to the Patriots' dynasty. Far from it, actually. Rather, Patriots fans should APPRECIATE the feeling of backing a winning team now, because us Ravens fans know what it's like to be on top, only to fall so far down in an instant.

I was almost embarassed by the lack of Ravens support on campus today. I was the only one with a black Ed Reed jersey and Ravens hat all day. And yet, I wasn't surprised.

But I just pray that I'll be able to have the last laugh tonight. Because maybe, just MAYBE, a miracle will happen tonight in what essentially amounts to OUR Super Bowl.

You have to have hope. You just HAVE TO.

Again, if not us, then WHO WILL?...

Wonder if Jon229 from FL is freezing his butt off yet?? :D

I wanna see my boy do his thing tonight and see if he has the same reaction I had when I was at the Browns game.

I remember being afraid of Trevor Pryce 'cause he looked at me like he wanted to eat me.

Hey guys, I just got set up here. I've already seen Jaworski, Michael Wilbon, and Tony Kornheiser on my way here. It's pretty cool, being here in the Press Box. Nice and warm...just like Florida. I'm about to go down on the field, so I'll be back in a couple of minutes.

Do a bang-up job tonight, my dude, and take it all in!

After all, if this continues next season, best believe I want in on the home opener.

By the way, *crosses fingers that the message board doesn't die on me again like throughout this past week and during last week's Chargers games when I tried to post*

I don't want Jon to get out of his responsibilities tonight. :P

Oh, I'm sure they'd find something for me to do if that happened...I'd probably be getting a lot of coffees.

Being down on the field was pretty awesome. I can't tell if I was smiling because I was happy, or if it was because my teeth were chattering so much. I saw all the players come out...looks like McAlister will be playing. Unfortunately, Demetrius Williams and Todd Heap will be out. Daniel Wilcox was in uniform and warming up, so looks like he'll be in as well. The secondary looked pretty pumped up, they had their own little huddle after the whole team gathered together. It was pretty windy, so I'm hoping that'll slow down the Pats' passing attack...I'm not too worried about them running the ball on us. I'm pretty excited for the game to start...and all this typing is helping the blood move back into my fingers.

10 minutes to go.

Time to set aside these next few minutes for personal prayer...and pray WELL...

Remember, whatever happens, happens, and let's not forget how much we love this team...

I wouldn't have flown up here from Orlando if I didn't love the Ravens.

Just got to meet Kevin Byrne. This day just keeps getting better and better. Let's hope it ends just as well as it started.

*sigh* I didn't get to meet Kevin Byrne.

Now I'm even more jealous.

I hate you so much right now.

(j/k...even though I voted for you...)
