Anyone Watch Tomlin Press Confrence?

16 posts in this topic

I cant seem to find the video yet, but man. I saw the Press conference on sportscenter. I never have seen him that mad before. He is usually a calm and collected man, but he was infuriated. He said that in December that the Steelers are going to take no prisoners and show that they mean business! ( something like that, cant remember ) . I thought I would share as Tomlin is usually very Mild after every loss. Yet it is their 3rd in a row loss, I didnt expect him to be that upset. Thoughts? Post the video if anyone can find it. :baltimore-ravens:

hell man has been going thru what the ravens have been going thru losing close games in the last minutes least he shows a lil anger instead of smiling like a fool lol.It was a great game but coming off a loss to KC,cincy and bal to of those games going to OT yeah it is hard....I wonder if he had the same thoughts about Ben that Ward had?

Sure, he's pissed off, and for good reason. But will that automatically translate to success? We'll see. This coming Sunday, we just have to hope that the Raiders truly are AFC North-killers.

I remember telling Mike Tomlin's uncle that I was looking forward to the rivalry when Tomlin was first hired. Who knew I'd be eating those words only a few short years later, after Tomlin's Steelers have become an even larger thorn in our side than when Bill Cowher was at the helm?

december is our best time of the year

if we win out we still make the playoffs for sure

raiders-win
browns-win
packers-tough win
ravens-tough win
dolphins-win

i think thats very possible

and if the broncos drop two more games and the jags, texans, dolphins, titans drop one more

and you guys win out besides the pitt game

the north will send three teams to the playoffs

i also think that is very possible

thats my dream scenario

I wouldn't count your chickens before they hatch, bud. I'm sure you thought the Chiefs were a guaranteed win as well. If it's one thing we should all know by now regarding the NFL it's that any given Sunday you can throw records out the window, and it's up to the players to show up or not. There are no guarantees.

His uncle was my old ROTC instructor in high school. I believe Tomlin is his sister's son, and you can definitely see the blood relation in their hairline, facial features, and swagger. No, I wasn't actually in ROTC, they just had the instructors teach seminar courses on the side to keep their courseloads on-par with the rest of the faculty.

I knew about Mike Tomlin back when he was the DB coach for the Bucs because good ol' Chief Bryant has a picture of Tomlin with Jon Gruden on the sidelines during a game, hanging in his office with a personalized autograph from Gruden to Tomlin. I believe it was from the Super Bowl, I'm not sure. I remembered it specifically because Chief also quoted Gruden as saying that Tomlin would make a great head coach sooner than you'd think. I guess he was right after all.

I followed Tomlin for a bit after that, tracking his progress from Tampa Bay to Minnesota and then finally to Pittsburgh. I had confirmation from his uncle a day or two before Tomlin actually signed with the Steelers. I'm still kicking myself for saying I was looking forward to the rivalry.
