Ed Reed must play deep. Since Driver and Jennings are explosive, Rodgers will probably take shots downfield. The main reason IMO that Reed has 3 ints so far is cus QBs are learning not to throw towards him. Since the Pack like to go deep, Reed must play back to take away that option. This will leave the middle of the field open, so Landry should play a little closer to the LOS for the purpose of helping to cover the middle. All the while, PRESSURE must be put on Aaron. And I don't mean just blitzing, but actually getting to him, unlike last week when the STEELERS O line kept Dixon clean.

get pressure with the front three/four
While I agree with you, idk if it's gonna happen. We've tried rushing only 3 or 4 and usually it doesn't work (although I specifically remember some plays where it did). Most teams try to do this and it doesn't work for them either. The Packers o line is weak, but if we couldn't get pressure on Dixon when rushing 7 or 8, I'm afraid we'll need to rush more than 4 to have a chance at getting to Rodgers.

I don't think throwing non-stop blitzes against Aaron Rodgers is a good idea. I think our D-Linemen are good enough to get pressure on their own. Their O-Line kinda sucks.

I'd just hate to lose because Aaron Rodgers gets off a couple of big plays when we're trying to blitz him and our offense can't keep up in the cold.
You couldn't have said it better! If the blitz gets picked up we could get burned.A good mixture would do nicely because,as you mentioned, they have had real O-line issues.

I don't think Rogers is going to have anywhere near the career that Brett Favre had.
Well so far he's had a better start than Favre has.

Do I think Rodgers will throw 500 touchdowns? No, first and foremost cause I doubt he plays till age 40.

That being said, he has had an amazing start to his career and I'd settle for him winning a Super Bowl or two...or three.

If that happened, I'd like him better than I ever liked Favre.

That's exactly what happened last week. No, Dixon didn't put up huge numbers, but there were some big pass plays as we all remember.

I think what the Ravens need to do is keep the line backers in the middle. Keep Reed on one side and Landry on the other.. Using Web as the nickle and Foxworth can double on one side.

I dont care what their schedule has been, when healthy, GB has a young and talented defense. Our offense will need to turn it up a notch for this one. Rodgers is just like Favre was; he can carry the team on his shoulders or he can flat out lose a game for you. When god created night time in Wisconsin, he had the Ravens defense in mind, so I think we can contain their offense fairly well. Lets just hope they dont do the same to us. I'm thinking the trend continues and we have another low scoring, old school Ravens game.

ok did read the entire thread but, the past 11 weeks all the team they won against minus tony ohno and cowboys had 2-3 more losses then wins. this seems to be a trend for them. if it dictates as true they had trouble and barely won against dallas so look for us to have fun cause I think that D is over rated right now cause of opponents outside statistics.

Pack favored by 3. NFL network's Theisman, Baldy and Sharpe all are picking GB, I LOVE IT! We seem to play so much better as underdogs. All three say Rodgers will have a big night against our D. He may get some yards underneath, but I don't see him having the time to throw the deep ball.

No touchdowns! Time for the D to really shine and the O to be machine like and grind it out.

You call leading a team 17-0 in the 4th quarter "barely" beating them?

Of all the criticisms I've heard of Aaron Rodgers in his time in GB, this has to be the absolute worst and most ridiculous. Rodgers is absolutely nothing like Favre, and that's both a good and bad thing. Aaron Rodgers has never single-handedly lost a game for us. He's thrown multiple INTs before, but only in games where the defense was absolutely horrid and gave up leads.

Why? That's our game plan half the time. Send the receivers down field, open the middle of the field and put the ball in your best offensive playmakers hand with an open middle field ahead of him.

Should we stop utilizing his full potential like the Saints have nearly done with Reggie Bush?!
First off, Reggie Bush doesn't have that much potential, IMO. Secondly, just look at what our WRs did last week. They just had a breakout game (Clayton especially).

Checking down doesn't utilize Flacco's full potential at all. He's got a big strong arm, but wastes it when he throws short. See, I believe in a balanced offense, but when we throw, we better throw downfield. About 15-20 yds downfield is fine by me.

Plus, sending receivers downfield never opens the middle. It should, but why are all of these screen plays short gains? It's cuz everytime Ray catches it, there's always someone right there to immediately tackle him. Teams watch film of each other (as you know). Whenever our opponents watch our offense, they see all these checkdowns and find a way to prepare for them. They close the middle of the field, so Ray has nowhere to go.

You also have to look down the line. If Rice takes this much of the offensive load this early on in his career, he'll wear out faster, and that tank of his will run out too quickly. And I'm sure McClain and McGahee have some gas in their tanks.

I love Rice too, but putting the whole O on his shoulders isn't the best idea.

To win this game we need to exploit their weakness. Lets use a lot of 3 or 4 receiver sets.

I worry about rodgers against our secondary, but that's how i felt before the colts game and that turned out alright (defensively that is). If our offense can do work then we win.

ok think about the dallas win yes 17-0 going into the 4th mid november romo becam ohno again, please child please rodgers also is the most sacked player in the nfc, this game will be a ground game, he wont win it for them. keep in mind lambeau in this part of the season is concidered a brutish place to play it will be won or lost on the ground. so if they pass they will need 2 reciever max protect as we saw with pit to contain our D, you also need to remember we could use something rarely used in the nfl corner inside blitz from a 3342 dangerouse but with a ghuard battling an injuriy to the chest this will make him off ballence and mp lines dont work well vs corners and safeties .

if we use this this will be aaron rodgers

maybe our secondary can be like and the outside enough for one of the corners to for a and then the cheese heads will go and we will be like mean while the steelers season seems to be because we are the wildcard

The prophet has spoken!

Really though, I'm not really afraid of the Packers. The only team they've beaten that are above .500 are the Cowboys.

6 wins against losing teams. They've lost to good teams and the Buccaneers.

Why did we get stuck with 8 (going on nine) quality opponents? :34853_brickwall:

I haven't really been following the Packers, but if that's true, then they are somwhat similar to us. We always beat the Chiefs and Browns of the world, but always fall to the Patriiots and Colts.
