How was Flacco terrible?? Not his fault he was being pressured by one of the best defenses in the league. He threw a few deep balls down the field when needed. No INT'S. Overall he had nearly 300 yards and managed the game.. What more can you ask?
Yeah, I think some people have forgotten Pittsburgh is the #2 defense in the NFL.
Expectations are soooo blown out of proportion.

Find me some stats minus check downs to Rice and the first few games when we ran up the score versus basement dwellers and we have more to talk about

THANK YOU! Joe isn't Manning, Brees, Brady or Favre. He's still learning, and he's still getting better! Joe is going to win a ton of games for the Ravens in his career, I can assure you of that. People need to get rid of all these expectations and thinking that he's going to throw 30 td's, and make the pro bowl in his second season.
Thanks Jeeper good words, and look he outplayed Brady when they played(not Flacco's fault in that game),went toe to toe with Favre,Joe is a good qb and he will be great give him time.everyone wants instant results but you learn in this league.

We need Suggs in this game, or we will get burned.
We'll be alright without him, but yes we do need as many starters as possible. I would say we dont need him back to the extent that the Steelers need Polamalu back.
The guy threw 0 interceptions, 1 td, and 289 yds against a very good defense. People are getting on joe for dumping it off to Rice, but usually Rice is the only one open! I just don't see how you think joe looks confused? He played a solid game last night
Geez some fans the Ravens have...Joe Flaco is a good QB, do you want Boller back? Almost 300 yards and a TD against the Steelers and some Ravens fan is complaining that he passes to Rice to many times. News flash your best player is Ray Rice, your best player better touch the ball the most in a game. Some people just don't know football.

Actually Green Bay leads the league in sacks allowed. He's been sack an amazing 44 times!

That's at least six times more than these awesome teams: Kansas City, Buffalo & Lions.

Rogers is a sitting duck. Even though we aren't living up to our pressure standards, we are still better than most teams.

This should be an early christmas present with a bow on it. However, if we don't get to Rogers, its going to be a long day.
Yup, if we give Rodgers too much time, Jennings and Driver will destroy us.

I chalk this one up as a big L
A very tough stadium
Packers getting an extra 3 days to prepare not playing since Thanksgiving
Excluding Ray Rice us having no offense
Our secondary
We can't tackle
Flacco has been looking like a deer caught in the headlights
It basically took us OT to beat a QB that had one snap prior to in his short career
We would have been smoked if 43 and 7 played

is this a joke ? he had 289 yards against a great defense & we had 393 total yards . this might sound crazy but he might throw to ray rice alot because it works

I know, really. We just knocked them down to number 3 in total defense and almost doubled what they give up on the ground.
Unfortunately GB is now the top overall defense, go figure, lol.

I love me some Ray Rice but it's pretty sad when your leading receiver is your RB Call it what you want sub par receivers not getting open or a QB get too comfy on his check downs
.....and no I mean more than just one particular game
Why? That's our game plan half the time. Send the receivers down field, open the middle of the field and put the ball in your best offensive playmakers hand with an open middle field ahead of him.

Should we stop utilizing his full potential like the Saints have nearly done with Reggie Bush?!

All last year all we heard was how amazing Joe was at throwing the deep ball. This season, not so much. He's missed wide open receivers down-field more times than I would like to recall, one of those misses costing us the Bengals game in Baltimore.

This needs to get fixed by Monday Night against a now-suspect GB secondary minus their Pro Bowl CB.

Memo to Joe: Don't throw to Charles Woodson's side of the field.

This game will be great. I usually root for the Packers, because Woodson is a beast, and Rodgers is my favorite QB in the NFL.

As for this game, I'll be rooting against them.

Why does it matter WHO the ball goes to? Do you think Derrick Mason would have taken that 4th down catch last night all the way down to the Steeler's 10yd line? Ray Rice is a play maker plain and simple, he should get the ball in his hands even more in the passing game. What needs to be fixed in the passing game? Obviously the Ravens need a WR that can get separation downfield. They also have to start utilizing the TE more in the Red Zone.

It's amazing how up until this season everyone complained so much about how the Offense needs to score more points, and they wanted to see more of a passing game. Now that the Offense scores more points, and we have a passing game people complain about exactly who the ball goes to.

Aaron Rodgers vs the Ravens secondary really scares me
This is the same statement we here week in and week out. Only the names have changed. We have gone against arguably the best Qbs in the league this year and not one game was out of reach for the Ravens to win. Give the Ravens D some credit for at least that. As said before it all comes down to finishing the game. I think the Ravens got a good taste of what it is to finish last night.

How can you say Joe cost us the game because of one overthrown pass. Im pretty sure there were plenty of other reasons why we could have won or lost that game.

In all seriousness we almost lost to a team starting it's 3rd string QB, i can see us dropping this game and even a few others (Oakland, Chicago, and Pit are possible losses.

Anything is possible but do you really want to go through the rest of the season thinking this way. I prefer to think that we can run the schedule. Until proven otherwise.

Hey brahs. Obviously a huge game for both teams. I'll address the injuries first.

Kampman really is not a big loss. He's been out of position ever since we switched schemes, and it was kind of sad to watch. Sad to watch even considering that he was still a damn solid player who played coverage quite well. Unfortunately he shouldn't be playing coverage at all, and whenever he did we took him off his game. The rookie we drafted for this system (Brad Jones) stepped in for the Dallas game and was part of that almost shutout that we pitched. No telling yet if he'll be a great player, but he's looked good.

Now the only positive about Harris's injury is that it wasn't Charles Woodson. Jarrett Bush is our nickelback right now, and he is comedy, like every time he steps on the field. I don't know how deep you guys are a WR yet, but you you have a servicable 3, then he should probably shred Bush, unless Josh Bell (just picked up) or Brandon Underwood (rookie) can take his spot. We haven't have good luck with injuries to our CB's (aside from our top one).

We're number 1 in defensive yardage, but i don't know if it's has more to do with our defense being studly, or our ST units being absolutely horrific and giving teams short fields.

I'll talk a little more later, but i'm hungry right now. Good luck.

The Steelers almost lost to a third string rookie last year (in fact it took overtime and a field goal), but they did all right.

I think Pitt and GB could be losses, but come on... Oakland? They maybe be 10-0 at home against Cincy, but we're not going to get caught in that trap. (We're also 4-1 against them in case anyone wanted to know.)

Jay Cutler has thrown an impressive 17 interceptions (to 8tds) on the road. Yeah, yeah any given Sunday and whatnot, but I don't see any reason to believe that we'll lose to Det, Oak, or Chicago. The other two are a different story.

I hope the Ravens will finally be able to get to an early start. The first half is a pain to watch on Offense. We need to find a way to get Flacco some momentum, he has lost it in the previous games.

Last night was another awesome display of the three-headed-monster from last year and I wanna see that trend continue.

Exactly, the jumbo package is still one of my favorites. I love to see McClain get teh ball on short yardage, he is a freight train.

Yeah, but how many of those losses came with long plays late in the game? DBs falling all over each other, DBs letting Moss walk into the end zone... People have a legitimate beef with the secondary. I do, but I still believe they can get the job done, it just largely depends on them having a better than good day.

Hey, Packer fan here. Just wanted to address some things that have been said here, both that I agree and disagree with.

One, to whoever called the Packers defense stingy, it's not. It looks like it on the statsheets because of the two Lions games and the Browns game. The D has had several horrendous performances this season, including both Vikings games and that god awful Buccaneers game (inexcusable).

That said, there are playmakers on that defense, and they can win a game single-handedly. Charles Woodson and Nick Collins are the two that jump out, but the rookie Clay Matthews and also Tramon Williams have made some as well. Bottom line, it's an all or nothing defense. They either get turnovers and make a day hell for the quarterback, or they get embarrassed.

As the other Packer fan said, Aaron Kampman is not a big loss this year. The 3-4 is the reason for that. His production in this scheme was pretty minimal, and Brad Jones has played very well in his absence. Clay Matthews is the playmaking LB of this team right now.

And to whoever said the Ravens plan should be to use Rice, I disagree. This game is on Flacco. The Packers are much better at defending the run than the pass, which again you would not know from looking at their stats. Misleading numbers. They managed to shut down Adrian Peterson once, and hold him to 25 carries for 97 yards in the second game, yet got absolutely shredded by Favre twice. If Flacco doesn't have a good game, the Ravens probably don't win.

And about Rodgers being sacked, yes, the pass blocking has been horrendous. However, there has been some progress in that regard. Since being sacked an average of 4.6 times per game over the first 8 weeks, he's been sacked an average of about two times the last three weeks. In addition to the blocking being better, Aaron's doing a much better job of getting rid of the ball quickly. He used to hold onto it and scramble around for several seconds before going down. You see that much less now.

Overall, should be a very good game. I have no prediction, could see it going either way. I think in the end it will come down to the quarterbacks. Rodgers rarely has bad games statistically, but if we can't get pressure on Flacco it's going to be a tough day.
