Maryland Electric

The electric bills in MD are crazy, it's making me consider moving out of the state. My latest BG&E bill was a little over $500 and I been keeping the house around 60 degrees. Maryland has to put the cap back on, because this isn't working. How are the rest of you guys dealing with these prices?

I just moved to back to Baltimore from Va Beach, now I'm looking to move back, although I do love my home city of Baltimore. The problem is, Maryland took the cap off the electric companies, and now BG&E are raising the prices it seems every month. I got friends that live in Baltimore County, and they are paying in the $700 during the winter months in there little bigger homes. Its unbelievable! I know so many people that are moving out the state because of this; you can't afford it. Governor(owe)'malley has to do something. My electric bills are almost as month as my rent in just a 3 bedroom house, and I been making sure all the lights, tvs, and computers aren't on for long periods of time.

My girlfriend's stepmother got a recorded call from WE Energies (power company in Wisoncin) on Thanksgiving night to say that they're raising her rates next year. She started laughing, screamed obscenities into the phone, and hung up.
