Before anyone asks about why the team isn't wearing black jerseys, it's specifically to separate them from the Steelers' black & gold; they want as many fans wearing purple in the stands as possible, and they want the players on the field looking like RAVENS and not carbon-copies of the Steelers.

Besides, almost EVERY team has a black jersey in their repertoire, and even though many of us like it for fashionable reasons, it does nothing tangible to affect their performance on the field as history has shown. The black jerseys will likely be used for the last home game of the season, or if we're lucky, next week on the road against the Packers on Monday Night Football if the league grants the team special permission. Remember, alternate uniforms can only be worn twice per season, with the exception of the original AFL teams this year in honor of the AFL's 50th anniversary.

Well to our Steeler brethern on this board I hope it's a good game with no more injuries(which when we play each other is almost impossible).
Suit up Ravens and come to play this is it no more room for error

I would much prefer to beat the Steelers with Roethlisberger and Polamalu playing because after we win, all we'll here about from the press and sports writers is that we only beat them because Ben and Troy were out

Well we are missing Suggs thanks to the Browns, though hopefully he feels a bit better about not playing. Its on Kelly Gregg and Ngata to block Mendanhall.

AND we have a decent ref crew--Hochuli. I may not like his all calls but he is fair and mans up if he blows it.

I agree, take what we can get. The real win would come in Pittsburg when both of them are back.

I'm thinking that it will be a close game. Sure, Big Ben is out of the game, but Baltimore's secondary is really depleted, plus they've been giving up big pass plays all season. All of those guys really need to step it up, and this is the game to do so.

The LB crew really needs to play hard, too. Suggs is still out, and I'm thinking most of the run plays will flow towards Suggs' spot. Not to say that Kruger can't handle it, it just seems like a weak spot that Mendenhall might try to exploit.

Another thing, Flacco seems to have been losing some control on his passes. I've seen way too many passes this season that float over the receiver's heads, or ones that the WRs have to stretch for. With Polamalu out, it's less of an issue than it could have been coming into this game, but Flacco really needs to bring his passes down a bit.

It should be a really exciting game, and I'm looking forward to it.

Another thing I'm looking forward to is the match-up of Gaither and Harrison.

How do the tailgaiters do it with these late night games? I can't imagine it. If I were there, I'd probably be the one in the back of the van having somebody waking me up near midnight shouting "Ravens Won! Let's go home."
