I found a link on some random message board about a week ago. It just had the leaders are each position in each conference. Reed, Ray, and McClain were leading there respective positions.

Here is the link:

casey hampton??? what hell he got 124,000 votes. I bet all of them were steeler fans.

People know who he is because he plays for Pittsburgh. If we had the same market Haloti Ngata would be a perennial pro bowler.

Polamalu is a great player, but I found it hard to vote for the guy when he's played 5 games this year.

Name recognition goes a long way. He was injured before and got in that year too.

Poor B-Dawk. He can help elevate a pathetic defense to become one of th league's elite, and a guy standing on the sidelines still gets more votes.

Perfectly put. I always vote for Dawkins over Polamalu. I would have voted for Polamalu if he had played more games at his usual level, but 5 games just aren't enough.

Reputation accounts for most of it .I personally vote for little Ray Rice every time I can right along with Jarret Johnson.
