Nfl Classic Games Presents Balto At Pitt

Tonight at 8pm. on NFL Network they will be showing last years meeting of Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburg Steelers. Just wondering how many were going to watch this one again? I still get p.oed every time I see that catch (no-catch) at the endzone. I will probably find myself watching it again anyway!

If you're referring to Santo's catch on the goal line that game was in Baltimore.

You are absolutely correct. They have the game at Heinz Field listed for tonight but were showing that No-catch from Holmes on the pre-view. Not sure why but you just made me go hmmm?

Yeah that game was @ the Bank. I dont know why they mant to show that one, well I know why, because of the attempted catch but I think the first game @ Heinz was by far better football

Agreed I liked the first one a tad more. It was harder hitting, just as suffocating defenses on both parts but both offenses came up with some big touchdowns. As old school as the 2nd matchup was we dominated that game for 3.75 (lol)quarters and nothing much happened. The first game the second half was so see- sawish that it makes watching it again really enjoyable for me.

NO!
Cannot stomach it. I watched the DVR so many times in denial. I am still sick to my stomach over that game. I can still see, feel, taste the way I did at that game. I need to move on. We NEED to win so ia can erase that memory. I have never felt so more angry for a win.

I retreaded the waters! That one call in the first half where they reviewed the spot of the ball and it stood as a first down for Pitt was ridiculous! He needed the 30 and barely got the 29! And the Holmes TD definitely shouldn't have been overturned. It was WAY too close. And Walt Coleman said after reviewing that the reciever had control of the ball and two feet down so it was a TD. He said absolutely nothing about the ball breaking the plane of the goaline.

Don't wish for Sunday too hard, you'll find your weekends vanishing fast.

How about this, I decided last night to go ahead and watch the game again. So I turn the NFL Network on just about 10 minutes before it started. I fell asleep. When I woke up it happend to be at the very moment Ben was scrambling and making the throw to Holmes at the endzone. I actually woke up from a dream to a nightmare!

I watched bits and peices yesterday, and all the momentum seemed to be on our side. :gaah:

Watching this game also reminded me of how good LeRon was for us. Ray Rice is great, but this guy helped our running game go, and all the 3rd and shorts were almost automatic with him. I hope he goes back to playing RB next year. We could use him.

WHY, WHY, WHY?! lol
It took me up until this season to get over that.
We were insane over that call! You are so right. The ref gave them the touchdown because the feet were in the end zone. Nothing was said about the ball position. Which thus was the wrong call entirely.
And also yes, there was definitely NOT enough evidence to overturn the call to fourth down.

The call was reversed due to an incorrect analysis. Had the ref known the foot placement had no affect upon the play, I believe it never would have been overturned based upon the ball position.

The Steelers received a gift call in that game which gave them the win!

(deep breaths, deep breaths)
