Penalties In Madden10

Anyone notice the penalties in Madden10 are the most ridiculous thing ever? First off,they are almost NEVER called in online play, and when they are they totally screw you...

Case in point. Im down by 4, on defense, with under a minute to go and no timeouts. So this idiot starts passing the ball instead of kneeling it. I havent had any penalties called in 5 or 6 straight online games. With 10sec to go he throws a pass to the corner of the end zone which I pick off and take back for a game-winning TD. RIGHT BEFORE i cross the goal line a penalty flag comes in for a "leg whip" on my team and the game ends, I lose. That gu should have gotten what he deserved for trying to score instead of killing the clock and the refs let him off the hook.

Must have known I was a ravens fan, lol.

That [b]IS[/b] messed up. There should be NO Penalties in on-line play inside of two minutes unless it's on a player controlled by the user.

I have them pretty fairly/realistically adjusted. Meaning, I get those calls all the time, but so do they (non-online).

I dont know about yall but im a hit stick guy, 98% of the time I use hit stick, its become more instinct really lol but it helps alot getting fumbles and dropped passes, but I feel ive been getting cheated recently with unnecessary roughness penaltys, only happens on the sidelines though, I will be chasing down whoever has the ball see them tryin to run out of bound, slam the hit stick, then it delays a second and lets the ballcarrier get an extra 2 strides in, then the hit stick all the sudden kicks in when they get out of bounds, but when I say screw it and just let them run out of bounds they fake it and run all the way up the sideline.

ugh, Im working on my hit stickage, lol...It really pisses me off when Im on defense and the RB wiggles out of 4 or 5 tackles en route to an 80 yd TD though.

and I get what you're saying about the unnecessary roughness penalties, but at least thats something you controlled. The penalty that was called on my team on the last play of the game was pretty much computer simmed. It was by another player on the opposite side of the field from the player I was controlling.

OMG, holding calls on kickoff returns and long runs are incredibly frustrating. I think there should be no penalties called on players you aren't controlling.
