Boller Again Named Starter For Rams

22 posts in this topic

Now this is a kid who I truly hope does well in the NFL. He got a really rotten deal with Billick, and Cavanaugh and Fassell and all those geniuses who combined to destroy his development in Baltimore.

In all, this was one of the classiest dudes to ever wear a Ravens uniform. If anyone has ever had legitimate things to complain about, it was Kyle. But he just went about his business and always tried his best.

He truly earned my respect as a person and I hope he does well in his second chance in starting with the Rams. Go Kyle! :th_consoling2:

As much as Boller frustrated me and our great 03 defensive squad was squandered, I always found it impossible to straight up hate him because he was a tough kid, never complained, never missed practices or held out and legitimately just wanted to be a good QB. He didnt care about the money, he just wanted to win for Baltimore.

Kyle Boller has heart and I respect that. I don't want to see Flacco going a similar way because he doesnt have any targets. Lets get him some reliable TE and WRs.

It's one of those things where, even though he was a scrub, he was our scrub. I would've kept him re-signed as the 3rd QB just for the heck of it.

But, still wish him luck in St. Louis. Heck, I'd even root for him to lead the Rams to the NFC West title next season.

Who knows, maybe he will be the spark they need and maybe he turns the team around. Or at least gives them a foundation to build an offense around.

I remember a couple of years ago, Phil Simms, I think it was him anyway, said that he thought Boller would be a good QB one day but it wouldnt happen in Baltimore. I guess we will find out if he was right.

I wish KB well but darn did he ended up on the wrong team.

He has happy feet and tends to panic a bit under pressure,
I am convinced if he went to Denver he would have a great year but St Louis' O-line is awful. I see more tripping and unaided fumbles

Sounds like Bulger may be retiring or getting released. I wonder if Kyle will be the starter next year if this is the case, or if they will find someone else.

I'll add to the "Good luck!" wishes to Kyle. I hope he does well. I have a lot of respect for how he handled himself on the sidelines, his heart while on the field, and how he worked with the other QBs.

Good luck, Kyle.

I don't wish Boller well. Despite his circumstances in Baltimore, Boller had and still has horrible awareness and decision making abilities. Strong arm, nothing else. Not having any real targets doesn't nullify the choices he made under pressure (aKa his uncanny ability to turn what would have been a sack for a 4 yard loss into a sack for a 15 yard loss). The man doesn't know how to throw a ball away or just take the sack... without trying to run away from the defenders. If he would have just taken some sacks without trying to scramble away or thrown the ball away, I may not be so harsh on him. But hey, it is what is.

I was glad to see him gone, and I still am.
