I love it. We have it in Top Banana Yellow, btw. It's not the fast car at my house (2001 Corvette, 96 Collector's Edition Vette (mine, heavily modified), and an 86 Grand National) by it's got good pick-up, is extremely comfortable, and handles far better than expected. On a dry night, I can take an off ramp at 60. I like that despite creature comforts, you can still feel the road.

My biggest complaint is a bad pause going from reverse to first, but that may have more to do with being used to my Vette than the car itself.

Oh, and contrary to popular belief, you can smoke the tires. :D
SWEET!!!!!!! I wanted that car sooooooo bad when I was in HS.

Does that have the Mercedes Tranny in it like the 300 does? Because my car has that same issue.

Challengers/Chargers are built on the same chassis as the 300, its portly and has too much body roll.
Too bad they are soo darn heavy, they could be formidable for a sports car.

LilyRaven, nice Fleet. Whats done to the CE Vette Lt4, right but besides that.? I had a nasty 87 Vette. of course it didnt start life that way... LOL. TPI, feels fast but really not... All your fun is over before 4800 RPM. hahaha

I smoked everyone I encountered with the V6 300 except for this BMW from Staten Island; I was doing 75 mph when he pulled up along side of me. I STILL moved quickly ahead and then all of a sudden he blew by me like I was standing still. HAD to have had nitros or something. I knew there was usually a speed trap ahead so I braked heavily at the last possible moment. Unfortunately, no cops were there. I would have LOVED it if he got pinched.

Because I commute 90 miles per day. The ole lady is driving it now anyway. It's more luxury than anything (leather, blue tooth, nav system, sirius built in, heated seats, etc). Loaded. It just also happens to be quick as an ape with its (butt) on fire.

Maybe I got a ringer but the roll on our Charger isn't bad at all. Considering my Vette has (to have) both engine bay and body bracing (or it cracks the targa top), I have pretty low tolerance for body roll.

My 97 is ported and stroked to 450hp at the engine. Aftermarket headers and intake, moderate cam, completely new exhaust and cats, Kevlar reinforced, cooled transmission, heavy duty cross drilled brakes, and bigger, wider tires. We had the work done by Tony's Corvettes out in Rockville a couple of years ago so I don't remember brands without looking it up. She runs upper 12s in the quarter.

Mine's geared the other way. She was actually faster off the line before the mods, but now once she'e out of first, it's all over but the crying. I've dusted my share of C5 Z06s.

She's the garage queen at the moment. Needs a new cam.

Yes, I believe we have the same (cruddy) transmission.

You should probably stay out of my neck of the woods. :D In addition to our cars, our neighbor (the Redskins fan) has a new Camaro and my father in law (who's about five minutes down the street) has a 64 Vette, 68 Camaro, and a 2004 Z16 Vette. My sister in law has a WS6 Trans Am. Mr. Lily's best friend (two blocks away) has a barely street legal late model Camaro.

I live in American Muscle heaven.

Sweet man! So any Opti-spark problems? 12's aint too bad I guess, but is kind of weak for 450hp. Not to be a dick but my TPI with 250 whp went 12.70's at 104( before the 406 ci mini ram). I guess yours isnt set up for drag racing. I have had a BUNCH of fast cars . I know all about the GN's too, my pops was one of the lucky people to have the super limited (547) GNX. I doubt your busting on many c5 vettes with anything done to them. The ls1 engine is FAR superior to the 2nd gen SBC ( Lt1-4) Either way, I ;m glad to know there are other gear heads on here~! Btw, c5z06's rung low 12's stock with a competent driver.

As for a V6 Charger handling any performance car, I respectfully say " You're full of crap" Those things are turds even with a Hemi ( the SRT8 with the 6.1 is pretty decent i will say though)

List of cars i've owned:
87 Corvette coupe orginally a 4+3 trans swapped for ZF-6 from ZR1
87 Firebird Formula 350
89 Iroc Z
93 Firebird Formula 6speed
99 Camaro SS
05 Silverado SS
99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX
73 Chevy Vega468 BBC, aluminum Brodix heads, solid roller cam, Super Victor intake, BG Race demon carb, 9" rear, TH-400 trans, the list goes on

Overpriced. Z06 has more potential with the N/A 7.0l vs the S/C 6.2 of the ZR1.

It must be a 3.5 then, cuz the 2.7 is slower than steam of a fresh turd. I never thought even the hemis were that fast. I drove a hemi charger and was not impressed at all. A G8 GXP owns them all in every facet.

The G8GT owns them in every facet.... My friend has an RT Charger and the Silvy moped the deck with him. Granted, the SS had longtubes and a tune but it wasnt even close.

My husband used to race at Capitol (Bone Stock Racing) but can't anymore - no rollcage is his Vette, can't pass tech. Since you're kind of local, maybe we'll run into each other sometime.

Yes, but I don't remember being asked to designate a gender when I signed up. Never looked at my profile so I never noticed.

I kind of figured the Lily part was a dead give away.

You don't need a cage unless you run faster then 11.50 .... even then, a 6pt is all that is needed until 9.99 or 9.50 cant remember... Is his Vette a Vert?

Yes, it's a convertible and it's modified also (supercharged). His Vette is significantly faster than mine but still a daily driver, so no cage of any kind.
