Huh?

Dudes played 10 games in his "career" as you stated and you think he talks too much cause he's had a very good rookie year???? Every rookie would love to have half of their rookie season be "good".
One, he sat his entire rookie season. This is his second NFL season. Exactly, pay your dues before you mouth off to the greatest linebacker of all time. A good rookie season doesn't give him that right, I just thought it was stupid to get up and act like "Is that all?" to Ray Lewis.

Have to diagree. The hit on Ocho was not legal. It was helmet to helet which is an illegal hit. Hense the penalty and the fine. I am not saying it was malicious because it was not. Ray Ray don't play that way. Just that it was not a legal hit on Ocho.
Child, you've bumped your head! Watch the video. There was no helmet to helmet. Ray crunched his pal stinko smack dab in the #s and timed it perfectly!
The refs saw the helmet fly and made an incorrect assumption.

We won't talk about the flag and fine (BS)......... Over and done.

Happy Turkey Day!

Another hit that no one seems to mention is Landry's hit on Santy.

That was also Ray with the help of Ed. Im assuming you mean at the goal line right?

Thanks for the welcome. And when you get over 50 you can call me son. My post was no offense to Ray Ray. He is one of my favorite players. I am just stating what the refs called and what the league fined. Nothing malicious about the hit.
It's cool. Don't get mad just because of one kid, not saying that you were though.

No, I'm talking about the Landry hit. I'm not sure it was on Santy, but he was having a hard time breathing after the hit. I think this happen a couple of plays before the one you are referring to.

Certainly I don't take offense! I have felt very welcomed here. This is a great group pf folks who actually discuss football instead of hate and smack. I am pleased to be here and appreciative I am a welcomed guest. I don't let one little poster upset me. But thanks for putting him in his place! :mcnabbtddance:

He also totally whiffed a tackle on Addai in the hole one on one. Not so cool. That one cost us 7.
Ray had rolled his ankle 2 plays prior to that and was limping for the rest of that drive. He's sat out practice the last couple days even because of it.

You cant put those 7 points on Rays shoulders alone. A lot of previous missed assignments led up to those points. Ray did go on to kick some butt after that missed tackle. Even with the bad ankle he was the man on the field.

Because we watch the game to enjoy it, yeah we lost but if we lost and couldn't care about the entertaining parts than whats the point of watching?
They play to win, We watch them play
Maybe you watch for entertainment, but I don't watch simply to be entertained. I watch because I've grown up supporting this team and Ravens football is something I'm very passionate about. (Like I'm sure is the case for everyone here.) Obviously I'm not playing in the game, but that doesn't mean I'm not emotionaly involved in the game. I'm pissed off when we lose. I'm frustrated when we come up short like this.

The reason I don't care about this hit is the same reason Ray didn't. Notice the way that he didn't get up hootin' and hollerin' like he always does. He barely made any acknowledge of the play if I remember correctly. He knew it was a good hit, so did I, but it meant nothing in this game besides that. Making a big hit after a guy gains 8 or 9 or whatever it was on 2nd down, when you're trailing means nothing. The fact that this hit got more attention that the hit he and Reed put on Santi(?) earlier in the game was ridiculous, because that hit actually meant something. If this hit meant something more to the game, (like his tackle on Sproles in the Chargers game, for example), maybe it would be worthy of all the talk. But as I see it, it doesn't.

I care about this hit. Lots of people care about this hit. That's football brother. If you don't understand the beautiful thing that was that impact, then tell Ray Lewis yourself that you're not impressed.

If you don't get it, then you don't get it. What a shame.

I get it. I played football. It was a nice hit. But it didn't matter at all in the context of this game.

Who cares about this hit? We lost the game. This came on a 2 and whatever play, and *after* he had already caught the ball for a gain. Ray did his job, big deal.

If you cant beat em, beat em :ravensquote:
