I'm surprised Ray did not draw a flag and a fine. Looked a lot more violent, but just as clean, as his hit on ocho stinko. Maybe the difference was the rookie remembered to buckle his chin strap!

I Love how Ray just popped up after that hit and stood over Garcon for a second looking down at him.

I also have to give credit to Landry for his monster hit on Santi that sidelined him

Who cares about this hit? We lost the game. This came on a 2 and whatever play, and *after* he had already caught the ball for a gain. Ray did his job, big deal.

i think the D is quite good for now. as long as we can finally score with our offense this will end up well.
side note: in my opinion ray should have 100 on hit power and awareness in madden. he still makes more big plays which pump up the whole team than any other mlb in this league!!!! love this guy.

I don't really like Garcon. He's a good player but he talks a lot of trash for someone with only 4-5 good games in his career so far.
[/quote]
True but 4-5 good games for a rookie is pretty good! :dancingbanana:

I doubt many LBs in the league could make that play. It looked simply enough but I loved when CBS showed the camera shot trained on Ray. He diagnosed the play and just went without any hesitation.

Because we watch the game to enjoy it, yeah we lost but if we lost and couldn't care about the entertaining parts than whats the point of watching?
They play to win, We watch them play

Dude that hit was like the reaction basketball players have at the dunk contest during all star week.

I got up and was like "Oh sh$t!"

That hit was one of the cleanest big hits I've ever seen. It was perfect in every way, from the angle to the impact to the post-hit reactions. He planted himself perfectly in Garcon's midsection, with no doubt whatsoever as to how clean it was. Nowhere near his helmet, no jarring head-snap after the hit to make it even look like helmet-to-helmet.

It was almost reminiscent of Bart Scott's sack on Big Ben from 2006, except this was with a guy in motion, making the hit extra-jarring as opposed to just a stationary target.

I care about this hit. Lots of people care about this hit. That's football brother. If you don't understand the beautiful thing that was that impact, then tell Ray Lewis yourself that you're not impressed.

If you don't get it, then you don't get it. What a shame.

Is it just me or does Ray not talk as much smack as he used to? Maybe it was the situation in a game but even when he levels some HBs he doesnt talk nearly as much as he used to. Even last year I only saw him get on Mendenhall, he leveled Ahman Hall but didnt say a word to him after just stared. Is it just Ray's grown up and hes past that? Maybe cuz im a younger guy but I would have been in Garcon's ear.

Have to diagree. The hit on Ocho was not legal. It was helmet to helet which is an illegal hit. Hense the penalty and the fine. I am not saying it was malicious because it was not. Ray Ray don't play that way. Just that it was not a legal hit on Ocho.

Somebody here actually had a still frame shot of the impact on the hit, and it was clear it wasnt helmet to helmet. You know Ocho doesnt do up his helmet and wears one too big. It just popped off.

Its probably because the Refs would bring out a flag and fine him 50 grand for each one of those

Ray definitely doesn't talk as much as trash as he used to but he really doesn't need to. Brandon Marshall alligator-arming a pass over the middle a few weeks ago is proof.

And as good as hit on Ahman Hall was last season, it resulted in a first down which must've beens really frustrating because the Titans were in 3rd and long.

He's been playing pissed off; if you notice, he doesn't talk much at all when he's pissed off. And he's usually pissed off when he knows his guys are struggling, so he has extra incentive to shut up the other team. That, and he doesn't wanna risk getting fined for something he says when he can't control his emotion, either on the field or after a game.

Huh?

Dudes played 10 games in his "career" as you stated and you think he talks too much cause he's had a very good rookie year???? Every rookie would love to have half of their rookie season be "good".

Ive noticed this year he looks increasingly angry every week at some of the circus like play of the secondary and his Dline at times. I actually read an article on baltimoresun.com the other day when one of the reporters (Van Hurken? its some Germanic last night like that) was wondering why Ray doesn't talk after games that the Ravens lose anymore. And I thought it was pretty obvious because he didn't want to blow up in the media about the way some of the guys were playing.

It also helps when Peyton Manning is throwing the ball to him.

Thanks for the welcome. And when you get over 50 you can call me son. My post was no offense to Ray Ray. He is one of my favorite players. I am just stating what the refs called and what the league fined. Nothing malicious about the hit.
