USF BULLS RAVEN

What Is Going On Up There?

13 posts in this topic

I was wondering about what fans are saying about this season. I live in Tampa and it's hard to find Ravens fans who take the Ravens as seriously as I do. I have read the Sun and gathered everything from ESPN, (I was looking for answers THAT hard...) but wanted to hear from fans back home. If it wasn't for my school beating Auburn and West Virginia, I would have no hair left. :(

Well, I'm in a similar situation as you. I live in Orlando and I've enjoyed these boards because it keeps me up to date on the Ravens from other fans. I always check Mike Preston's report card after every game and usually visit the Sun's website a few times during the week. But nothing compares to this. There just aren't enough Ravens fans spread throughout the country...yet.

We are devestated. I feel sorry for you because at least we can turn on MASN or the local news and hear positive things about our team. ESPN and all the other major sports shows hate us and do nothing but bash us to the point that its unbearable.

exactly...most sports shows now-a-days, do nothing but bash us for our play, and more often than not, focus more so on the Bad points of hte game and not enough on teh good aspects of it all.....which is often the case with a loss. there are ALOT of good points in a game that come out of a loss. but that part is often over looked. and the only the negative aspects of it, are talked about and/orfocused upon.

I dont see it that way, we are playing bad, so naturally they say bad things...just like the dophins....you cant get respect or say good things about an 0-11 team. They always talk up our defense being good even when the ravens play bad. But the offense is that awful thats what they talk about. how can you say someting good about it??

if you want better fan interaction try ravens.scout.com thats where most ravens fan post.

I'm moving to Pennsylvania. I'm hoping to god we get Raven games, but I don't think so.

Depends on where you move to. Im in southern york county and comcast cable has both baltimore and harrisburg channels but no fox baltimore and no nfl network. Because of that if the ravens play on fox and the eagles play at the same time you dont get the game. It usually only effects ravens home games (im a psl holder so i havent missed a game yet on tv). If you get directv you can of course get the sunday ticket but thats like $250 a year.

Even when our team is good we dont get any respect. They always have something negative to say about us. The Dolphins have nothing to celebrate but with other teams, they always talk about the negative but they also point out the positive. Like with that Cleveland game, the only thing ESPN did was talk about the kick at the end and bash Billick for his comments after the game, the mentioned nothing about the fact that this team battled back in a game that should have been over at halftime. I dont recall anyone except local media talking about it. ESPN showed absolute no respect on Monday night football by asking an ex Steeler what he thought of our offense. What did they expect him to say? They were asking him to diss us, the entire interview was unneccessary but thats how much they dislike our organization for whatever reason.

Probably not because Pennsylvania has a team in each confrence. It will be how Maryland does the Ravens and Redskins, we get all of there games unless they are playing at the same time on the same network, which almost never happens.

The bad part is we are giving the media, ex steelers, etc... plenty to criticize us about. If we want respect - we need to earn it & this team has not done that in a single game this year. & Whether people want to admit it - our offense is & has been bad/boring/etc... for years. Maybe we should try to play some offensive football like we have more creativity then a high school team. Almost everyone but a few people see this. I love the Ravens, attend ever game, but come on - what the ex-steeler, Steve Young, ESPN, CBS, FOX, Baltimore Sun say about this offense is correct - it is & has been bad for a while. Sorry <_< .

I dont disagree with that. This offense has been terrible this year and 7 of the 8 years prior to it, and I have my speculation on why that is but I am sick of all the bashing. They dont just say the offense is bad, they completely rip our team every chance they get and they never look at any of the positives.

My friend is a Skins fan but goes to Harvard. What he does is watch games online via hosts. I think he's just connecting to someone's sling box, but thats something worth looking into. I can find out the site he uses/ if he knows of a Ravens feed.
