Draft Plans???

11 posts in this topic

Personally, I'm just gonna sit in front of the couch with my Ravens gear on and write down each draft selection like I've done for the past 2 years.

Granted, I'll probably get bored after a while and be exhausted from having to sit through it all, but it's not a bad distraction.

Though, I admit, I'll likely have to leave at some point during the day to go with my best friend to help her with her prom dress, and maybe hang out with my prom date later, but otherwise, tomorrow's gonna be all about football.

As for the 2nd day of the draft...I probably won't be as hardcore, even though we have more picks in the later rounds than we do on the first day. But I'll be keeping up with it, though.

I doubt we'll draft Brady Quinn.

But...I'm not gonna complain. If he's the guy we have listed as the best available player, then so be it.

Yes, we have other needs. But they're not immediate needs. Therefore, since we're drafting for depth, why not take a chance on Quinn? Popular belief is that Kyle Boller is not our QB of the future, and it would benefit Quinn (or whatever QB we end up taking in the later rounds) to sit behind both McNair and Boller for a year or two and learn the system and absorb the offense.

As time has shown, QB's who aren't thrown immediately in the fire tend to have more success than those who are expected to take the reins right out of college.

well if Quinn is in our plans and we do get him ill support him of course. But I just don't know, he just reminds me too much of Joey Harrington for some reason.

And he won't be smiling for at least two games every year for the rest of his career, neither, since our guys on defense will be targeting HIM on Sundays now in a Browns uniform...

I'm stuck at work, but apparently all my customers are home watching the draft too, so I get to sit on this board, and watch ESPN.

I kinda wish I was in Baltimore, though, for all the Draft Day festivities, despite the fact that we would've had to wait almost 6 hours just to hear about Ben Grubbs being selected as our first rounder...

It would've been nice to have been around some Ravens fans for a change, regardless...better than being around Eagles fans 24/7 here in Eagles country...
