The reality of the situation is that you would hear this garbage anyway. No matter who is in or out. The Steelers never lose. They either get robbed by bad calls, give the game away, or injuries caused the loss. Nobody beats the Steelers in their fans eyes. That is just the way it has always been. When they win the brag and rub it in your face. When they lose they give excuses why they lose followed by "We Have Six Rings". That fixes everything.
