Last I checked, KC put 24 points against us too.. And that was week one, when they were a really crappy team. You know what, everyone gets better, and any given Sunday.

If you look at the stats from this weekends loss, the Stillers pretty much dominated every facet of the game. 44 to 22 in time of possession, and double and/or tripled every other stat. (Minus the final score)

That being said, whoever the QB is, you can bet your a$$ that the Stillers will come, prepared to play on Sunday. Getting ready for first of the the best two games of the season.

 Steelers injuries -
1. Ben Rothlisberger took a hit to the head but is expected to play against the Ravens. Steve Young said that if Ben has another concussion soon like in the Ravens game then he will probably be done for the season. That will leave the Steelers with Dennis Dixon who has thrown 1 pass in regular season.
2. Backup quarterback Charlie Batch broke his wrist and will be out for six weeks.
3. Starting left guard Chris Kemoeatu will be out for two weeks with an MCL sprain.
4. Troy continues to be out with a knee injury.

Steelers problems -
1. The Steelers continue to give up a touchdown on special teams.
2. Periodic defensive lapses in the backfield.

Other than that everything is just wonderful in Steeltown!

GO STEELERS!

Actually that's a pretty good analysis. If Ben doesn't play or isn't 100%, then it's the Raven's game to lose. Even if the Steelers have a QB on Sunday, will their defense remember that NFL football games go on for four quarters, and not just three? Final point, if I were the Ravens, I'd have my special teams practicing running kick-offs back for TD's. Pittsburgh seems to be having a sale on those lately.

Like I said, it's the Ravens game to lose.
So was the last one and we found a way to do it. XD

It's good to know that my analysis was good. I don't actually watch many Steeler games...

Isn't it sad that both teams have come to place where we're not wondering who is going to make the crucial stop or who is going to make the biggest plays; we're wondering who is going to mess up less.

I just realized Ray Rice was actually the leading receiver in last year's AFC Championship game. I won't be surprised if that happens again unless other guys start getting open.

We also have to help the Steelers continue their streak of giving up KO return TD's. Webb is the perfect man for it.

All right so they are pretty much middle of the pack too. Now the next question is, which team will out bungle the other?

Will Joe throw a critical pick, will the Steelers defense give out in the fourth quarter, will Ben/Garcia/whomever become Ed Reed's best friend just when we need it, or will the Ravens find a brand new way to lose?
Our special teams should dominate the Steelers, and if our Offense can just get us 14-17 points, we should be fine because I suspect our ST or Defense will score at least once between them.

When we win this week, we'll be looking good for the playoffs.
Let's work on getting those third down plays. That has been breaking us.
We are still the best 500 team, and we hate those obnoxious Steelers.
GO Ravens! :wootwoot:

oh i dont doubt you will run one back

and sadly, i wouldnt be suprised if you run an int back too

lately i come to expect the steelers to always spot the other team 7-10 points a game

but they have enough explosive talent to more often than not come back and win

the problem is IMO is that alot of our explosive talent comes from key players with Big play potential

for example

Bens ability to shake a tackle and make a play on the run

Troy's ability to be seemingly every where on the field

Holmes's broken field running

so if teams contain even a couple of theses guys our mistakes bury us and we lose

Troy is most likely Out... Ben could be knocked out early if you guys actually risk playing him, and it could be for a long time (see Brian Westbrook)... Mendenhall, well, we all know what's going to happen when he and Ray meet ;) If we double Holmes, I think we'll be ok.

Thats's what worries me. I have about as much confidence in our offense in the second half of the year, as I used to have in our defense in the first half of the year. >.<

Yeah... makes me sick. Cameron no longer has a clue how to gameplan and Joe isn't progressing and doesn't even attempt to look at other receivers besides Mason and Rice. Check-downs will NOT work all game against Pitt like they have been. If Cam doesn't open up the playbook, we'll be 5-6.

That's where it gets dicey. Ty Law is the only corner I've seen who doesn't act like an idiot when covering Hines Ward. It seems like every 3rd and long, Ward runs a curl or crossing out and gears down. While Roethlisberger is bouncing off potential sacks, the DBs start peeking into the backfield which leaves Ward open. That can't happen on Sunday night.

Also, Mike Wallace can do serious damage so Carr or Walker will have to step up.

You're wrong. Do you really think Cam suddenly forgot how to gameplan? The player's haven't executed!

As for Joe, he has regressed in the past few weeks but to say doesn't look at other receivers besides Mason and Rice is rash. And even if he was hypothetically going through his progressions too quickly or not even doing them at all, I don't blame him. Guys aren't getting open!

Which one is more easier to believe , players suddenly forgetting how to execute or Cam suddenly forgetting how to gameplan? Cam hasn't forgotten how to gameplan but he isn't doing a good job of mixing up his gameplan like he was doing earlier in the year!

I agree with you. How ever i also think Mendenhall might be a problem as well.

Again, we have the savior REED. He can't do all be himself. Some one needs to step up.

Lets see what happens on Sunday.

Well then, take a lesson from your experience and stop doubting the O! I think Cam finds another flavor other than vanilla and the O wakes up again this week and we win!

Try it, it is easy to say; The Ravens beat the squeelers this week! We will win!

I don't care what they say. If Ben plays he will not be 100%. So I say we all out blitz like we haven't blitzed before. Even if it means giving up some big plays we need to hit Ben early and often. I don't want to see what happened to Westbrook happen to Ben but its not our responsibility to protect their QB. We have to do what gives us the best chance to win.

Pressure on Big Jen is key, but not at the expense of giving up big plays. Take away 5 or 6 big plays and we are 7 and 2.

I think Mattison and the D will surprise again this week and handle Big Jen and the squeelers. What a great job they did against Manning last week, save the Colts first drive.

O.o I've been watching the offense score 2 touchdowns in the past three weeks. There are plenty of reasons for me to doubt them.

That said, I think Paul Kruger will give us a highlight hit on Big Ben and we will prevail. With our aforementioned offensive problems, we probably won't get anywhere near the 2006 beatdown, but I'll take a win even if it's an ugly Browns 2 style win.

Edit: Per PFT the Steelers just signed veteran linebacker Rocky Boiman and veteran cornerback Corey Ivy have joined the team. To create spots for them, linebacker Donovan Woods and cornerback Keiwan Ratliff were cut.

Your just jealous that we got Rod Woodson a ring. Cory Ivy? Please.

Ivy meant little to us. If he'll help with anything, it'll be getting burned.

The key to beating the Steelers isnt just getting pressure on Ben, its tackling, the most fundamental thing, if we can tackle we shouldnt have a problem. We got plenty of pressure last year but it didnt matter because of so many missed tackles.
