side note: thats the argument i made against the fine Ray Lew got for putting the smackdown on Ochocinco

now onto this matter, from what i saw on the TV it looked like he intentionally went to hit the downed player. given how athletic everyone says he is I think he should be smart enough to jump over the downed player and not cost us field position. instead he laid a cheap shot and cost us

as a note to everyone i take back what i said. i love this team. they played tough. but the mental mistakes in both coaching and playing heavily outweigh how well we played. we need to iron these out or we will not win, even if the colts turn the ball over 3 times. plus, i brought up this issue in the offseason, the main problem i see with our team is not capitalizing on possessions in the redzone. cost us big today

This hurts like hell. We could have won that game. We were in it all the way but just couldn't capitalize on our opportunities. Flacco was crazy trying to fit that ball into triple coverage. All he had to do was protect the football. Another missed field goal and Reed bonehead play to end the game! My, my, my, how have our hopes fallen. We beat them on the turnover ratio and had Manning contained for the most part and still manage to find a way to lose. It's just crazy. I hate this feeling. A lot of luster has just drained out of my week. When we lose like this it is difficult for me to even visit the Ravens website.

i hate this loss as well! i knew that we had the upset of the year in the palm of our hands and let it slip. the main thing that gets me about our boys is that

1- in our passing game...we always throw to Mason on the out or comeback route on the sidelines.

2. we don't capitalize as we should....on turnovers

3. our offense can't score TDs when we are in the Red Zone

We are on the verge of being a really good team and not one YET, it really sucks though to admit that. Only really good teams make the playoffs. I am really concerned about how Joe has been playing, almost scared. Even the last throw was rushed when he didnt need to.

Every time there's an ESPN Insider thread or post made revealing info only available to ESPN Insiders, the mods delete it. That said, ESPN Insider is full-blown speculation and rumors designed to get people to pay for it.

Yes, but it will take us winning the rest of our games or at least 5 of 6.... not to mention we need other teams to also lose (Denver, Texans, Jags, Steelers, etc.)

I disagree 100% with this. The Ravens have lossed some very tough games this year. Yeah some were due to poor performance and some due to things beyond their control. You never know week to week who is going to win. How can you say one doesnt deserve or does? Do the Steelers or the Bengals deserve to go to the playoffs? They both lossed to really bad teams today. Just goes to show you never know. If they fight hard enough and perhaps get a little help along the way, they deserve whatever they get.

I agree with you on this. I just this week canceled my subscription. It is a waiste of money. Not too many rumors pan out anyway.. I posted several things here recently about things I got from ESPN Insider only to be deleted. I think it is just a coincidence though.

someone in the AFC is getting into the playoffs with 7 losses... just about everyone in a wild card race will be around that record... jax will get 7 losses... miami will have about 7 texans will be 7 or so... pit will be 5-7 and we'll have 6 or 7


so that aside, we have a chance to still make the playoffs

Well if you want to be a playoff team win a close one for once. Yes they beat SD early in the season when it was close, but thats about it.
Choking 90% of the time means you are not ready for the playoffs.

we can still make it.... and you know what... if we go back to the 4-3 for any reason.... than we don't deserve to go... but idc what anyone says the way we played today proved something... at least to our defense.... we held manning to only 1 TD.... with what seems to be one of the worst pass D's in the league... I'll take that any day of the week

I agree. How many people thought we were actually going to win this game today? We kept the game damn close, and it was in our hands.

Our defense looked impressive, which is key, especially against Manning.

Its not allowed, they can go after you for posting "insider" stuff, though usually you can get the stuff for free within 24hrs, I had an issue with them and photogs on another site--it comes under illegal activity because posting insider stuff is "stealing intellectual property".
