Lebron James In The Nfl?

18 posts in this topic

Lebron James is openly discussing playing in the NFL.

He played as a QB and WR in high school and was one of the biggest prospects in Ohio going into college.

He would be an awesome goal line receiver because of his height, I think he could do it.

The question is, if Lebron James decides to be in the NFL as a receiver, and doesn't play for the Browns, would you want to pick him up?

(this topic is just for fun, don't flame me)

As big as he is, I'd see him more as a tight end. That would be one big target! He'd obviously never be out-jumped by a defender. I wonder if he could take the pounding of the NFL?

Why would he seriously consider switching sports???

Well, people compare him to Jordan, right? ;)

My guess would be this is a "bargaining tool". Isn't this the last year of his contract? A nice little threat of changing sports might get him a bigger contract.

Considering there's no cap in basketball (at least I don't think there is), he'd be insane to risk injury playing football. Bo Jackson, anyone?

Gaither was a basketball Player and Tony Gonzalez plays in the off season as well. Neither played professionally though. Would he have to enter the league as a draftable player or as a free agent?

Actually everybody else is talking about James going to the NFL. James doesn't want to take the physical abuse.

I wish they would stop talking about this crap. Just another attention issue with James.

There is a cap in Basketball, but it's a soft cap, unlike the NFL's hard cap.

His image and ego dont fit in the team-oriented NFL. You can almost be a one-man team in the NBA and even MLB. But when you're only on the field half the time like in the NFL, it just wouldnt work for him.

With that "image and ego" if he played wr, then he would fit perfectly in the NFL.
