Who? I Know Who

It is difficult to be a Raven fan! We are the only franchise to let our quarterback go after he won the Superbowl! Billick's idea. For that alone he should have been fired & shows that he doesn't have a clue.

Replacements are hard to come by but there are 2 coaches and 1 GM available. Yes, I said GM. former GM Bobby Beathard has put together the best teams in history. He helped Joe Thomas put together the colts of the 70's, Miami's undefeated team then became the GM @ Washington and later San Diego when they went to the Superbowl.

Head coach? I'd say marty Schottenheimer or Denny Green.

Have you seen Arizona the last few years? Denny Green is not the answer. I only like Marty because he is smart enough to put his best players on the field and he knows how to get his players to play their absolute best. IMO, a lot of our players dont like Billick, they support him because they have to but I dont think a lot of them like him and want to play hard for him. As far as the GM thing goes, I like Ozzie. I think Ozzie has done his job, aside from making a few questionable decisions this offseason, letting Pashos and Mulatalo walk, he has bought a lot of talent to this team. Have you even noticed that one an offensive player leaves Baltimore, they seem to have great game after great game, thats because Billick is a bad offensive coach and doesnt know how to use the talent he has. He always wants more, well Billick we have given you more. You complained about not having a QB, we give you Dilfer and you let him go. So, then we give you Boller and we wont go there. You wanted new recievers we gave you Mason, Clayton ( who is wasting away under Billick) and Williams (who is in the same boat as Clayton). Your work horse, Jamal Lewis isnt "elusive" enough so we give let him go to a division rival and we bring in McGahee but you wont give him the ball. Enough with the excuses Billick. Its the coaching not the players.

Denny Green did a great job in Minnesota. He was only in Arizona 2 years and the success they are having now I think can be attributed to his selections & coaching of offensive linemen. Brian Billick and Chris Forester worked under Denny and were promoted as a result. I especially like Denny because the whole time he was in Minnesota his player salary budget was one of the lowest in the league and he was still able to win.

How about Bill Cowher?

I swear if one more person says Bill Cowher Im gonna loose it. Nothing personal steelrules but I have read that suggestion some 20 million times and it erks me. I understand why steelers fans would say Cowher but I'm not sure why you would want your Ex-superbowl winnning coach on our team. And secondly and probably the last time I will say this Cowher will NEVER EVER coach a division rival of the Steelers IF he was to return to coaching. He doesn't need the money so there is no buying him. We have a better chance of convincing Parcells to coach again.

Marty is a decent choice but I would like to bring up someone younger from the Collegiate Level to bring in some fresh new ideas. I do like our current GM and see no need to replace him.

Cowher will jump at the chance to coach the Ravens next year if it is offered to him. I don't think you'd see Camp Cupcakeever again. If given the personnel responsibilities, I think'd see a lot of change. Hey, I really don't want Cowher as the Ravens HC but that may just be what is needed to bring this team back from whatever fantasy land this management team has taken the team to.

If you don't want to see Cowher and you want a college HC, where are you going to get the NFL experience to compete? Maybe in 3-5 years a college coach will take the team back to the playoffs, but if you want immediate results, you better find a NFL HC that has been there and done that.

Why will Cowher jump at the chance to coach the Ravens? He is a commentator now and spends most his time with his family like he wanted, which mind you is not in Baltimore.

Cowher, assuming he decides to give up his cushy studio gig (same money, 1000% less stress)...will coach the Panthers or the Giants long before he ever coaches in Baltimore. The Panthers are the best choice for him, as he lives in North Carolina, and it would allow him more time with family. The Giants would be an attractive option for him because he has deep connections to the Mara family. Lastly, and not to be forgotten, is Danny 'Pockets' Snyder, who after two miserable coaching experiments (Spurrier and Gibbs) will be more than willing to shell out uber-coinage to snag The Chin.

As for us, I sincerely hope Bisciotti can find a way to pry Jason Garrett from the Cowboys, but I think its a pipe dream. Jerry Jones will pay 8 digits to keep Garrett on staff until Phillips retires, and move him right into the coach spot. So if the Garrett thing doesnt work, I truly believe Marty Schottenheimer is our best option to replace Braindead.

Think about it folks...if there ever was a team BUILT for Martyball.....

GO RAVENS!!!
