FlacAttack

Start Em' Sit Em' Week 11

With the injury to Michael Turner still in question here's my lineup as it stands today.

QB Peyton Manning (Indy) @Bal
RB Justin Forsett (Sea) @ Min
RB/WR Thomas Jones (NYJ) @ NE
WR Calvin Johnson (Det)vs. Cle
Wr Donald Driver (GB) vs. SF
TE Antonio Gates (SD) @ Den
K David Akers (PHI) @Chi
DST Steelers @ KC

On my bench I still have
RB Jason Snellin (Atl) @NYG
WR Chris Chambers (KC) vs. Pit
WR Santonio Holmes (Pit) @KC
WR Michael Crabtree (SF) @GB
DST Saints @TB

I'm pretty set on the QB, TE, and K position, but I'm debating on whether or not I should sit Driver and start Chambers because who else will Matt Cassel throw the ball to with Dwayne Bowe out? As for the DST position I don't know if the Steelers or Saints will rack up more points. Let me know what you guys think and I'll gladly help you out if your in a predicament as well.

I think you should leave your WRs just as they are for right now.

I do like Crabtree but Green Bay has some pretty good corners. Chambers is going against Pitt. Leave him on your bench. Holmes would be the one I would look at. But this is one of those type of games where the Steelers want to run and run more.

And if Snelling & Forsett are both starting. I'd go with Snelling. Seattle has a history of falling behind early and abandoning the run.

Pick 3
Santonio Holmes @ KC
DeSean Jackson @ CHI
Derrick Mason vs IND
Miles Austin vs WAS
Derrick Mason - If we fall behind early he'll have to be a difference maker. Plus the Colts secondary is banged up.
Miles Austin - At home he's a force to be reckoned with. Redskins let Marshall score 2 TD's and 100+ yards on two catches last week.
DeSean Jackson - Eagles like to throw.

Odd man out Holmes. I just feel like this is the type of game that the Steelers want to establish their run game again. And Wallace should have a big game in the slot.

I'd have to go with Jackson and Austin most definitely, but I'm split between Holmes and Mason. You have to look at the matchups to decide on this one. Holmes has been sporadic and inconsistent so you never know what your gonna get out of him but I would have to sit him even against KC in favor of Mason because you can rely on Flacco getting him the ball even against a tough secondary in Indy

Too late man I just dropped Snelling and picked up Donnie Avery of the Rams because they always find themselves down early in the game so my gut tells me Bulger will targert him frequently. With Jones out for what it looks like the remainder of the season, Forsett had an impressive performance last week and can also catch the ball out of the backfield so I expect him to repeat that again this week.

Jones hasn't been ruled out for the season yet has he? I think it turned out to be a bruised lung that's all.

But I agree if Jones is out for the season. Forsett should impress. He's the most talented back they had at the start of the season. But they were so blind to him.

I was leaning that way as well.... Hard to believe WAS has the best pass D in the league though and the 5th best overall D
They've had one of the easiest starting schedules. Now it will get tough for them.

STL
Detriot
Tampa Bay
Carolina
KC

The only two teams that have real offenses are the NYG & PHI. Which I think they played both of them at home. And the Denver game Orton was out for most of the game. That was after the Brandon Marshall throwdown.

The injury report says Jones experienced bleeding in his lungs so that can't be too good. Hopefully Forsett has an impressive performance this week and takes the starting job from Jones who is only averaging 3.7 yards a carry and they play the Rams next week so hopefully my investment in Forsett plays off.

I'd say go with the Saints D... they put up a DTD like they are the former baltimore ravens... they are playing against a rookie QB, and they have an awesome match up not to mention darren sharper will most likely play... pitt on the otherhand lost troy polamalu.. again.... which really has a different look on their D.. granted they are only playing the chiefs

Jackson Mason and Austin.... as enticing as the holmes pick might be... pitt is gonna more than likely run the ball down their throats with mendenhall... not to mention holmes is just too inconsistant imo

mason plays a banged up colts secondary
jackson is on a team that couldn't even spell r-u-n
and austin.... against the redskins...... play him
