This could be the emergence of Chad Henne. Teams are going to try and shut down Ricky Brown and force Henne to beat them.

This is also a huge disappointment for fantasy owners. Ronnie has been a staple in everybody's lineup.

No host city for the Super Bowl with an NFL team has had their team advance to the big game that same season. And I'm almost positive there's never been a host city to have their team make the playoffs that same year, neither.

EDIT: Slight correction: Miami has hosted a Super Bowl and had the Dolphins make the playoffs -- but they didn't advance to the Super Bowl.

In light of that information, I think it's time Pittsburgh hosted the SuperBowl, or Dallas.

That's interesting. When does Dallas get the SB? Here's one for you, Idianapolis hosts the Super Bowl sometime down the line, so does that mean for once the Peyton Manning led Colts(if he is still on the team by the time Indy hosts the SB) miss the playoffs??!! Arizona missed it by a year.

The Dolphins might have found their new QB of the future in Henne. The Dolphin games I have watched(I live in NC so I see them every once in a while) Henne has looked good, Parcells has done a wonderful job building this team up from the 1-15 mess they were a couple years back. Ronnie Brown being out will hurt them but they will need to find another back to go with Ronnie next year when Ricky calls it quit. I give it 2 more years, surround Chad Henne with WR's he can throw to, get him a good defense to go with an offense and Miami will be a tough tough team to beat.

Interesting that Cam was part of that mess. :o
This is certainly a huge loss for the Dolphins. Henne has looked very good. I agree, they'll be very tough in couple years. Of course with Parcells' track record, he'll bail on the Dolphins right as their about to "take the next step".

Actually, slight correction, I forgot that Miami has hosted a Super Bowl and had the Dolphins make the playoffs in the same year -- but they didn't advance to the Super Bowl in those years.

There might be one more team, I'm not sure. Either way, the odds are heavily against a host city's team making the playoffs, as history has shown.

I think Dallas is in the running for hosting an upcoming Superbowl.

But what's the point, it's not like Dallas makes the playoffs anyways, and when they do, they do not need any additional help to lose.

They do that perfectly fine on their own.

This means a lot more of Pat White and Patrick Cobbs in the Wildcat. I assume that Ricky Williams steps up to Ronnie Brown's spot and Cobbs becomes the second back? I would feel safer if I were a Dolphins fan if Henne had someone to throw to, his best reciever, Tony Fasano, is on IR...

I like Davone Bess. He's a bit undersized but Miami hasn't really been using him effectively.

I think with the Wildcat being hindered with the absence of Ronnie Brown. Henne & Bess could see increased production and make names for themselves.

And this also means more Pat White.
Miami fans have already dubbed the term WildPat. Otherwise they are probably going back to a more conventional offense.
