How Would You Rather Lose The Colts Game?

77 posts in this topic

As I said in the "Point Spread" thread - there is a reason the Colts @ Ravens game started at -1 for the Ravens then became a PK and is now -1 for the Colts. When Vegas thinks the game is going to be close it usually is.

P.S - Sizzle - how'd you think you wouldn't get lynched for creating such a thread - C'MON MAN!

With the current weather forecast predicting bad weather on Sunday, this could be the big break we need. I want to believe we can beat the Colts regardless, but let's face it, Manning has historically shredded our defense in previous seasons. If it's gonna be raining and muddy on Sunday, the matchup slightly tilts toward our favor if we can manage to get some touchdowns early in the game and set the tempo like we did against the Broncos. It all depends on which Ravens team will show up to play.

Let's say we were going to lose to the Colts. Would I rather have it be in the same fashion as last season or would I rather lose a nail-biter? I'd have to choose the latter and if it comes down to us having the ball last, hopefully Cundiff will make the kick. I definitely don't want to have to bury my head in my hands in embarassment if Manning shreds us again like he did last season, I don't want to have to live through that experience again

Sure seems like there is a lack of confidence in this thread.

I don't want the Ravens to lose this game at all. I'm so tired of Ravens fans already assuming the Ravens have no shot at winning this game. Even with all the trends, statistics and individual match-ups favoring the Colts, I firmly believe the Ravens are going to win this game. How they will do it is another question but the Colts are in the perfect position to be upset.

Would love to see the Ravens actually RUN THE BALL this game.

Every single game we play the Colts, we abandon the run way too early. If run the ball 30 times, and still lose... I will welcome all flaming towards me. I will admit I was completely wrong. But you can look back on past games against the Colts, or you can even just look back on the losses from this season. The Ravens have the running backs and the offensive line... so run the ball. Eat up that clock. Keep Peyton Manning of the damn field. Once again, run the ball. And a little trickery with Troy Smith might be fun too.

I agree. The team had to abandon the run last year after they went down early but looking back to the 2007 play-off game, Billick abandoned the run even when the score was very close.

Indy has a solid D but they're small and I don't think they have any run-stuffer inside. Stretches and tosses won't be very successful because Mathis and Freeney can chase them down from the backside but I see no reason why the Ravens can't pound the rock straight up the guy.

Cmon people, Indy is coming off an emotional win plus they are traveling to Baltimore so they may be drained emotionally- perfect recipe for a letdown game. Plus we've got the RB's and offensive line to match up. I know our line is in a slump but they've shown earlier they are capable of getting it done, who knows when they could get back on track could be on Sunday. and if that doesn't work we have still a decent shot at a banged up Colts secondary.

For anyone who thinks we will win the colts game, don't get your hopes up. We can still make the playoffs if we win the rest of the season tho. Anyways its simple how would you want to lose this game. Blow-out or close Nailbiter(vikings)?

:229031_rofl: Just trying to be positive my friend. I know our secondary stinks, but, you never know. I know we can beat the 49ers, and they almost beat the colts.
