While I never agreed with releasing Stover, no one else signed Stover until an injury popped up on their team. He'd be back with the Ravens had Vinatieri not injured himself.

Regardless, Cundiff is just a replacement until the Colts release Stover anyway. Once that happens, I would assume Matt comes back.

What makes everyone think Matt will be not only released by Indy but also that he would return here. I would be upset after producing for us as he did, then being cut like he was. I do hope it happens though!

Welcome to the NFL. Its been known not to show players any kind of loyality. Stover should not have been cut. Be Joe Flac, Ray Rice and Willie Mc.. Stover was winning games for us long before these cats. I dont know how many of you can recall that we had some season that ray and the boys(Defense) and Stover were the only ones scoring.

But apparently Haushcka was better than our original kicker? What was that guys names...? j/k

Once Saint Matt comes back all of the Ravens problems will be solved and they will be 12-4. No way Big Jen throws for three TDs with Stover on the other side of the field. Aaron Rodhers stands no chance of connecting on some long bombs to Greg Jennings and D. Driver with Stover out there to cover both of them. Too bad FO didn't ask Matt back or we would be 9-0 and coasting to a perfect season and SB #2.

People have been way too quick to heap a lot of blame on Hauschka for things well beyond his control. I don;t think he had any input to the gameplan that allowed CIN and MIN to go up 14 on their first 2 drives. MIN game, ok I see that, but where was anyone thanking him for making a clutch 4th Q kick against SD to set up Ray's great play? His biggest crime was not being the guy who had been around for 19 seasons. Can't wait till Cundiff misses a kick and people want to ship him out. Or when Stover comes back and misses a kick. What then? Hope everyone will be happy sleeping in the bed they asked the FO to make for them.

I think Matt is smart enough and mature enough to understand the business side of it. If hauschka could have been 80% as good as Stover it would have been a good idea. But that fact is he is not half as good, and unfortunately it took half a season to figure it out. Like i said, Matt knows this is a business, and I am sure he was not "kicked to the curb" so to speak. I am sure he would love nothing more than to come back to Bmore.

lol @ their twitter page. Cundiff has already been congratulated for signing with two different teams in the same season. If it all works out the way we hope it will in Bmore, he will be wishing to sign with a 3rd team in a few weeks :229031_rofl:

He better not try to wear no. 3

As far as I am concerned that number is retired until Stover comes back to Baltimore. If he comes back. :th_happypills:

No way they let him have 3. He can have anything between 1 and 19 except 3,4,5,10,12,15, and 17 theres no need for that kind of disrespect.

I figured they would of signed nugent. Still very young and I think he's a good NFL kicker.

I guess he hasn't kicked great this season but in his career he's been a much better kicker.
