FlaccoFlicker

Merged: Chris McAlister to the Saints

60 posts in this topic

Searching for some information about Mcallister and thoughts. From Louisiana and the saints are reported to have signed Mcallister. I wondering if he has anything left in the tank and how did he looked last year. Obviously, i know hes not playing at a pro bowl level anymore but can he still compete and be productive?

Thanks for any information and good luck with the rest of the season. Hopefully we can play each other in the Superbowl.

Veteran CB and former Superbowl Champion Chris McAlister has signed with the New Orleans Saints today. What DBs are left in the free agent market to replace Haruki Nakamura who is out with a broken ankle?

Booze artist or not, he could prob be drunk on the field and play better than our combination of corners right now.

Edit- I dont know if that was kosher or not mods so sorry if it wasnt, half joke half truth lol.

I guess the Saints are feeling lucky with veteran DBs after Sharper proved well.

I think Harbaugh should have kept Stover and McCalister. Now McCalister is going to probably perform like a pro bowler for the Saints. Do any current Ravens not get along with Harbaugh?

This is just my honest opinion, but I think Harbaugh and friends might actually be hurting this team. I would look into options for the near future about our current coaching staff, before it gets bad.

There are other things that I don't agree on with Harbaugh. Harbaugh just rubs me the wrong way.

McCalister seems like a New Orleans type of guy, I think he will like it there.

guess he's healthier than everybody here thought. I have a soft spot for our oldschool (00'-05) guys so Ill always love C-Mac for how dominating he was here. I still think he could start here, but that opinion may be blinded by my love for the old time boys. Aka I still think they should give Boulware a call...ok i was jk with that one lol.

It's funny how both undefeated teams in the NFL felt like they could use more of our "trash" then we could..

And now where stuck without a kicker and without a strong physical Db

This gets dumped right on Harbaughs head if Stover and Cmac end up helping more than hurting their new teams...which I assume they will

I mean seriously think about how crazy this sounds..

Stover basically got signed a couple games in
C-Mac gets signed after the half way point of the season

both by teams with NO LOSSES!

Both were deemed not worthy enough to play for the Ravens
but Both are alright to b picked up midseason by undefeated teams

The Ravens as an organization shouldve swallowed their pride and went begging both of these guys to come back somewhere around week 3..

Hopefully next time Harbaugh has a problem with a player he'll use his head instead of shipping him out.

lol...I know! Our team is just headed in the wrong direction. This is the worst and most uncertain i've ever felt about our team. Its as if we completely lost our Identity. Our Defensive Legacy is Gone. We're confussed about who we wanna be Offensively, The Big Wigs callin shot & makin the worst decisions they could possibly make (Stover/C-Mac) (Payin Suggs all that money). I dont know man....Im confussed!

I guess all the naysayers that said oh nobody will take him, he cant pass a physical. Guess he could. I love our team but I hope C-Mac puts up some monster plays there just to show that yet another mistake was made releasing him.

Stover released- Mistake
C Mac released - Mistake

This list will get longer if we worry about placing character over talent

and honestly character should be a big part but not at the complete disreguard of the best interests of the team...this Raven team has always been a safe haven for those players that may have character issues...and they always excel here more bc of that..that's one thing I give Bilick/Ryan credit for is that they knew how to handle those types of players

my guess is whtever Harbaugh and C-Mac were going through last year could have been talked out liked men..

I mean didn't Cmac have like 3-4 interceptions before the colt game/the Benching/and the "injury"...so that proved he could still play

very true Ed. C Mac still has life left in him on a football field and we did him wrong. We also did Stover wrong. Its sad that a team that is based so much on character now, tastelessly releases players that have done so much for the team over the years. I mean Dilfer got fired on his answering machine after being the winning QB in the Superbowl. If Tony Banks stayed in that year, we wouldnt have went so I think the Ravens handle releasing players the wrong way. My ? is

Ray Lewis is placed on trial for a stabbing in Ga. Would John Harbaugh a) sit him out the whole next year because he was associated with criminals? or B) release Ray Lewis for the same reason?

With John Harbaugh, there is no third option of letting him play. Brian Billick embraced our guys with problems and let them demolish other football teams on a bi-yearly basis.

Our beloved Chris McCalister has signed with the saints due to all the injuries in their secondary. If he's 100% healthy and put put up a strong performance for the reaminder of the season do you think the team would consider welcoming him back? It's only a 1yr deal with the Saints.

I think the real question is this. If McCalister returns to form (or close to) of a shut down corner, how much hotter will Harbaughs seat get? It was his decision to go with Hauschka and there must be somthing behind the "doghouse" rumors between him and C-Mac.
