Pittsburgh-Baltimore

25 posts in this topic

NEW YORK (AP)—The Pittsburgh-Baltimore matchup Nov. 29 will remain the Sunday night game even though NBC had the option of picking another contest. The NFL said Tuesday that the Arizona-Tennessee game that day will start at 4:15 p.m. EST instead of 1 p.m.

The league’s flexible scheduling policy allows it to change the Sunday night game to select a better matchup starting in Week 11.

Pittsburgh is 6-3 going into Sunday’s game at Kansas City, while Baltimore is 5-4 before hosting the undefeated Colts.

I know some people, me included , were sweating because of the holiday weekend--I'll be a pilgrim in a hostile land--Garrett County. If they flexed to a 1pm game it would have messed up my ENTIRE weekend getting people back and getting to tailgate.

I'm glad it still works out for you. I would think it would be unwise to reschedule the game anyways. Not only is it a division rival game, but it'll (hopefully) be a battle for the wildcard game.

Deep Creek would carry the game anyway as they get follow the Steelers, and are even in the Pittsburgh market, as you probably know.

The NFL was wise with that move. The Ravens vs Steelers will be the next big Division Rivalry. After all 3 games last year basically came down to the wire and seeing what could happen this year, it would have been dumb for the NFL to flex it and remove it from the Prime Time slot.

Well if it helps, I will be watching and cheering my tail off for the Ravens. Someone once ask me who my favorite team was in the NFL. My reply "Anyone playing the Steelers" :229031_rofl:

Just teasing guys! But I will be rooting for the Ravens none the less for obvious reasons. Need more distance between the Steelers and us before heading into Viking territory. I have faith in my team and all but @ Vikings followed by @ Chargers is a tough row to hoe! I assume one loss minimum from that stretch.

I'll be working with S.A.F.E. for this game, either padding people down or handing out programs... should be interesting.

Trust me, I'm praying I get to hand out programs... it's for a friend's college club's fundraiser.

Even if the Ravens are having an average year, this has become one of the best rivalries in the NFL, so NBC was smart to keep it.

I'll be a complete downer; likely two embarrassments and one closely-contested loss in five weeks!

You're Welcome?

http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/11/20/steelers-polamalu-likely-to-miss-more-playing-time/

After we beat them twice, a good 50% of the fans said it was because of Troy being out. Well, now you get to beat them and expect the same comments! Definitely think it improves your chances still!
