We need to pick up Art Carmody. He played kicker at Louisville and won the Lou Groza. He leads the NCAA all time in points scored and is a very accurate kicker. He was never picked up.

They say he wont be back til week 12 at the SOONEST, so yeah...get ready to see Stover kicking a lot of extra points AGAINST us. IMO, this has to gotta be one of the biggest fubars in Ravens FO history.

I wish we had this guy. After nailing 3 kicks 50+ yards in the same game I don't think the Bucs will be letting him go anytime soon.

i was with my friend whos a redskins fan last night watching the game and he called this lol. it sucks to lose your job but if you dont have the confindence to go out and get the job done then you shouldnt be here. i wish stover the best because how we did him was wrong.

Barth was fairly accurate in college with the exception of one bad year (2005, the same year we lost to UMD in OT because he missed a chip shot). He can hit a few 50 yarders - I think the game-winner against Miami was 54ish.

His younger brother Casey walked-on and is our starting kicker now, he's pretty awful. I wish Connor still had some eligibility left.

Well this will be the CBS Sports story line for the Indy-Baltimore game on Sunday.

1)Stover was a great kicker for 17 years (show the viewers pictures of him in Browns then Ravens uniform to remind people where the ravens came from, again)
2)Harbs/Ozzie do not re-sign Stover
3)Stover's replacement fails
4)Stover rides victoriously back into town on a 9-0 white (and blue) horse.
... Que up Manning carving up the ravens secondary amid a cascade of yellow penalty flags whenever anyone gets near him.............

I feel bad for Hauscka. I certainly don't blame them for making this decision, but I feel bad for him. Maybe a few more years of seasoning somewhere and he can be productive.

But for now, hopefully the Ravens have a great kicker waiting in the wings...
