With Rightful Early Concerns About Our D, Now I'm Starting To Worry About Our O

The play calling has not been great, but execution is usually the culprit. Even a great play call can look like crap when the players are sloppy and lazy. The offense has really come out flat in the last few games. Granted the Bengals D is improved, but I didn't see much urgency or "want to" in either that game or the game last night. The defense has looked hungry of late. Having held the opposing team scoreless for 6 straight quarters. Cool stat, but not reading too much into it yet.

The offense needs to get back to being physical. I know that Harbs like to say they're being physical, but that's hard to do when your O-line is constantly in Pass Pro. Flacco was very successful last year when we ran play action. However, that only works when you have established the run. The only thing we established last night was that Cam was quick to go back to passing as soon as the run got stopped once. I know we don't want to be predictable, but passing on 3rd and 1 doesn't seem like a sound philosophy.

As I have mentioned in other posts, it would seem that we have become a less physical team on offense. I like to hit the big play, but I would also like to pound the Defense into submission with Rice, McClain and McGahee. This will be especially important to keep Manning and Roethlisberger off the field in the upcoming weeks.

The problem with our "o" is that cameron has forgotten how we got to the playoffs last year. Ray Rice and Le'ron MccLAIN WERE THE REASONS.They should be the 1-2 punch again. Instead Cameron has gone pass happy. The preoblem with the "D" IS THAT MADISON ISN'T AS IMAGINATIVE AS REX RYAN. Since Rex has been gone the exotic defenses and blitzes have been replaced by simple base defenses, the reason why we are giving up so much passing yards and rushing yards.0ur "D"went from 3rd. last year to 17th. this year .Changes need to be made on both fronts.
