Merged: Brady Quinn's Cheapshot

This is ridiculous.

If Terrell Suggs were to land a cheap shot on Quinn, we would hear no end of it, he would be fined and maybe suspended.

But if a QB makes cheapshots on a line backer, its all good.

The whole QB priority thing is really starting to annoy me, especially considering Suggs didn't come back during the game.

He did get called for a personal foul, but yeah, I'm not happy about Quinn taking out our $63 million player (even though he did absolutely nothing yet again)

I mean during post game highlights and discussion on ESPN.

If anybody laid a pinky on Quinn and got a flag for it, they would've talked about it a lot.

I'm not going to defend Quinn or anything but it sounds like you hate the "rule" more than you do Quinn. QBs are protected like little children and it's annoying.. example being the personal foul call that Trusnik got for tackling Flacco low.. all welcome the "Brady Rule."

Point being Quinn blocked low, he got penalized and he'll get fined as well. It doesn't make it necessarily "right" what he did but what's done is done.

From what I've read apparently Cribbs took a forearm to the throat and is now in the hospital.. nothing more than that unfortunately.

Since we're discussing Cribbs injury, this is just in from PFT:

As it turns out, the Stanford-band play that ended Monday night's game with Browns receiver Josh Cribbs being carted off the field should have never happened.

Not just because the play shouldn't have been called, but because the Browns never should have been in position to call the play. In fact, the Browns never should have gotten the ball back at the end of the game.

The Browns never should have gotten the ball back because they took -- and were awarded -- a fourth time out during the second half.
